I did a summer 'Illustration' course at a cool college in London called City Lit. It was an excellent course and from the final exhibition I did get big interest for one of my pictures by a card company. Sadly after I finished the final approved design the company went bust, but I sold the design in the gallery I worked in anyway.
One of the assignments on the course was to design illustrations for the 7 deadly sins. I loved this brief. Had never done a cartoon style before but just let my imagination run wild and ended up with the pics I'm going to show you now, 2-3 at a time.
The style for the brief was set by the 1st pic I did, called Anger. It just flowed out of me like all my anger was spewing out into the picture. Sorry about the quality of the photo but I can't seem to work out the settings on this new (old) camera. If anyone knows about that comment below to be helpful. It's an old SLR Fujifilm Finepix S6500......
Next one is not in chronological order it just happens to be one I have to hand and goes nicely with the 1st one being quite dark and scary.
Vanity. I felt more comical drawing this one maybe because I find vanity very comical in real life.
More pics in this series tomorrow including the one that got me the Dukes of Dense job........
Incredible Artwork. Thanks for sharing #blurtart
