Hello everyone!
Today, I want to share with you my new artwork for Drawlloween challenge day 6 with the theme "Pumpkin".
During Halloween, people carve pumpkin, a practice which dates back to a centuries-old Irish myth about a man, a drunkard named “Stingy Jack.” You can read about that here and here .
He was said to tricked the Devil for his own monetary gain. Upon his death, he neither was accepted in heaven nor hell. Jack had to settle on earth forever as he was doomed to roam with only a hollowed turnip/pumpkin to light his way.
Here, I drew a scary funny human face with a pumpkin shape consisting of carved eyes, a nose and an open mouth with teeth. Within the pumpkin is a bright light.
The drawing was done with a blue ballpoint pen on a cardboard paper. My steps are below:
Thank you.
