Hi all, sharing with you some quick painting from life studies of tomatoes! I find painting things that can grow or decay over time produce a painting with a lot more character than painting from a plastic object that looks like a tomato. One of the main challenges for this piece was capturing the watery effect with paints, it required the correct highlights with a loose effect of the brush.
