3D Render Image: "The Cube"

One of the toughest parts of the 3d creation process is getting through the lack of inspiration.

That's why some of the best 3d artists that I read about take many weeks or even years to accomplish such a feat in 3d visualization. One of the names that I look up to in this trade is the guy behind the alias "Alex Roman". I'm a big fan of his work.

His goal in producing the series "The Third & The Seventh" is to tell the world that architectural visualization doesn't have to be boring. He wanted to showcase 3d Archviz as a form of art beyond architecture itself.

When I first glanced at his work, I was blown away by how realistic it is. I couldn't tell the difference between the real photograph and his rendered image. And the absurd part is that I believed his renders are more alive than the actual photo itself. His short film can be found here.

With the inspiration and spare time that I got, the Cube House was created.

I was inspired by his work and so I used that inspiration to visualize a 3d project to encompass my thoughts about it. In this 3d scene, I worked solely in 3DSmax; a software used for movies in the early years of visual effects. It's not really meant for architecture but I find many of its tools handy during the modeling process. The Vray render plugin also works well for me and I'm pleased with the outcome. Below are the rest of the renders.
