Dear Jessica, I hate to write you this,
Asking that I be given a fair chance,
Lead you way to you new found love,
I hate to be in your bondage,
Craving for a new life is what want,
Since we have looked away,
Seeing what is pleasing in another,
Forgetting the starting of what we cherished.

Dear Jessica, give me a consent,
Release me from this incarceration,
Out of the snare as a bird,
Whose destiny is tied to the cage,
Make me live as free as the air,
I do not want to be tied here in the balloon,
And seek refuge where I have a will.

Dear Jessica of this world,
Giving me the assent to wait,
While you frolic with others,
Killing the pride of our future,
Into chains the love that we profess,
What I felt for you was real,
Infatuation is not my thing,
I will never consider it as love.

Dear Jessica, it is sunrise now,
A time to make a decision before it sets,
Don't keep holding me down,
While I wait knowing the end,
For the beginning tells of it,
You were not here to live,
Deserting me is in your diary,
But what about the covenant?

Dear Jessica, be not lose,
Let your heart remain here,
Where it finds affection and attention,
Those demons will abdicate,
Leaving you vulnerable,
Unable to make the next move,
Your heart will stop beating for a while,
Because it knows where you belong.

Dear Jessica, lets not go through this again,
Your signature is written all over me,
Now I can't take you away from my mind,
Like Hosea going after Gomer,
I keep coming back at you,
Come take you place,
Fill my space with your warmth,
And let's begin afresh like the first time we met.
