A little history of cowries and the way igbo land values it

Monetaria moneta, common name the money cowry, is a species of small sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Cypraeidae, the cowries.
In igbo land of the eastern past of nigeria it is used for trading in 1940s and 1950s and so on,

But you can hardly see it now unless in a native doctor's place.

In igbo land cowries shows strong ness and greatness .

It was also used as money in Ghana.
