Before a child of about 4 to 5 years will show a stranger sign of hunger, that child must be truly hungry
On my way back from our farm at Lodu Ibeku this morning, this little boy waved at our car and signaled us that he was hungry by holding his stomach
Chaiii, the boy was looking very unkept and malnourished, i quickly remembered my last child. That boy is exactly the same age with him. Only God by his infinite mercies kept me alive to provide for him and his siblings, who knows how they will be looking if not for God
I told my driver to reverse so that we will check the boy out, upon inquiry we found out he is a boy with just a single parent. His father died before he was born. His mother left very early to assist ppl in the farm for just #2500, leaving them without food, being the youngest child, he had to sneak out to leave his stomach at the mercy of strangers.
He took us to the place they are living and i just couldn't hold my tears when the eldest sister of about 9 years rejected the #10,000 i gave them to buy food. She said their mother warned them not to receive things from strangers, even if they are starving
How can these children be starving and still reject the money i gave them, even when i am very certain that the youngest child is already giving up. I must go back tomorrow morning with foodstuffs
May God not allow our stomachs to be at the mercy of strangers
