Blood Donation.

Hello my fellow people, how are you doing and trust you are all doing great.

It's been a while I blog due to my busy things in my working place.

Some years back a go I have been hearing on radio and television about blood donation to save a life. So, there was a year they are doing world blood day and I decided to go to the nearest hospital to donate blood to save a life. And that was my first time i donated my blood.

This year I was able to donate my blood again after some years back. Last week Wednesday LAGOS STATE BLOOD TRANSFUSION SERVICE came to our office to celebrate the gift of blood and people came out with joy to donate their blood. I was not aware that very day, though.

The next day which was Thursday, I was one of volunteers people who gave their blood.

Its happen on last week Thursday morning, I saw an ambulance 🚑 drove into our premises and I begin to wonder what is going on but I wasn't know it was people that came to collect people's blood.
So, when I saw them coming out from the bus, I saw the cloth they put on, I know it was people that want to collect people's blood.

I move closer to one of these people and asked, can I donate ? And the lady answered me Yes with gladness.

After they set up the place they would use for people to donate their blood, I walked down and I was the first person to came for blood donation.

The process started from one section to another section, I started by filling a form that contains my data.

After that, I moved to the person that checked my BP and weight to know if I am fit to donate blood.

Another person checked my blood status to confirm if I have much blood. I told this lady that I haven't eaten before I come for this and she said it doesn't affect me that I must take malt drink before they can take my blood. She collected my blood sample and gave me empty pant and something they would use to collect my blood.

The next section was where I took malt and collected my data again into a small record card.

After that I move to where they collected my blood which is last section.

The man that took my blood was asking me is it my first time I am donating? I said no, it's my second time. He said no problem and he proceeded by taken a pants of blood in my body.

After they collected the blood, they gave me a bottle of water to drink while I was still sitting down on the bed.

I forgot to take the picture of the bag😂 and also the small card.

I went to met a lady that gave me malt to drink, she gave the small card and asked am I gonna come to their hospital to donate again after 3month? And I said Yes.
