In Nigeria once it's dry season as we call it all farming person knows it's time to weed there farmland in preparation for the next farming season as the dry season is the best time to weed ones farm while waiting for the raining season thus during the said dry season farmers diligently work on their farmland and after the weeding the weeds are set on fire so as to reduce the tendency of early sprouting of the weeds (the roots that was not pulled out) and planting sets in some weeks to raining season because if planting is done months before the raining season the seedlings will die in the ground due to heat so planting is done weeks to raining season and the farmers rest while waiting for the rain and once awhile they go to check on the farm to ensure all is well.
