Oil palm is an important economic crop in Nigeria.It is mostly found in the tropical rain forest regions of Nigeria such as the South west, South east , and South south.This crop is so useful that nothing is a waste from it. It has so many products from it such as palm oil, palm kernel which is used for feed production,costmetics,etc,palm fronds for broom production,fuel etc,This crop has potentials that are unexplored in Nigeria. Bellow are some the pictures of oil palm seedlings in the nursery.I took the picture from my school Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia state's Oil palm nursery this afternoon.
