Review of the movie "Acrimony (2018)"

Acrimony is a narrative mind blowing story that sends thrilling sensations down the spine of viewers.
It all begins when Melinda a young and beautiful student encounters Robert, a young student too but poor and schooling on a scholarship programme. Although their first encounter was not a pleasant one, they later started getting along very well with Robert offering her assistance with school work. And just as everyone anticipated, she fell in love with him and they began a whole new chapter of their lives.

Melinda was from an average home and lacked no basic needs as a young woman but Robert on the other hand lived like an orphan because his father was in prison neither was his mother with him and to make things worse he already lost his grandmother who was raising him when he was just 14. They were both in different worlds, two hearts from different worlds bond together in the euphoria of love.

Melinda has two sisters, Brenda and June. Brenda her elder sister basically disliked Robert and always try to dissuade Melinda from being with him, however June her other sister had a soft spot for him and just wanted them to be fine.

Not too long after their love story began, Melinda lost her mother and inherited $350,000 from her. During the period of mourning for her mother Robert came around to extend his greetings and she went home with for a visit during which they made love and he deflowered her.
Melinda was deeply in love with Robert and bought him a car while she was still in college, always paid for their outings plus other favors she always granted him as a token of her affection for him. But Robert, although he sincerely loved her was not faithful and started having an affair with another girl named Diana.
Melinda caught him and was heartbroken, and being a woman with an uncontrollable burning rage decided to retaliate by crashing her car into his home. The accident left her bleeding and with injuries that affected her womb. She was later diagnosed with ruptured ovaries which means she won't be able to bear children anytime in the future.

But as the saying goes "love forgives all things" Melinda accepted Robert back after he begged for her forgiveness, promising never to cheat on her again. He proposed marriage to her and she accepted though her sisters were against it and later married him against all odds which include her sisters not attending the wedding.
Robert was building a battery called Gayle Force Wind which he believed would bring him a fortune when he is able to get business deal with Prescott & Howard Company. He was also a student so Melinda had to do multiple jobs to keep the home and fund his studies hoping to rest and be taken care of when he graduates and gets a job. But her hopes crashed when he graduated and couldn't get a job because he had a history of being a jail at 15.

Roberts refused to go for other jobs but only focused on writing to Prescott for a business deal while Melinda kept working tirelessly to take care of the home and this continued for 18years.

Diana was employed into an influential position in the Company and Robert met her for assistance to have a meeting with Mr Prescott, they planned a coffee meeting to discuss business but she forgot her wallet in his truck later on and Brenda found it and quickly reported to Melinda, both believed he was cheating with Diana again. Melinda made a fierce confrontation after which she sent him packing out and later demanded for a divorce.

Robert, though innocent of the accusation could just not get Melinda and her sister to believe him and had to sign the divorce papers and then left to start working as a dishwasher in a restaurant while Melinda started dating Devon, a man stable enough to take care of her.

Three months after the divorce, Robert's dreams came true through Diana's help as he offered an opportunity to work with Prescott and his battery Gayle Force Wind finally hit massively. He was given a deal worth $150 million from which he gave Melinda his ex wife $10million to appreciate her efforts for him over the years and also bought back her mother's house which they lost due to finances but he proposed marriage to Diana.

Melinda became deranged and very jealous over the now wealthy Robert getting married to Diana and fought them fiercely in many ways which includes suing him to court claiming that they were still married when he got the contract from Prescott so they should share it equally, abusing and threatening Diana over every single post she makes on social media and burning Diana's wedding dress.

Finally Melinda attempted to kill Robert on their wedding night but had an accident with the anchor chain of the yacht they were in and got drowned in the process while Robert was left bleeding from a bullet wound she inflicted on him.
