Thinking Like A Viking This Year

in blurtafrica •  3 years ago

Last year is gone, today is another year, just like that. The difference between yesterday and today is in the translation of night to morning. For me, there won't be any new year resolutions. I will just continue where I stopped yesterday, I mean last year.

In the medieval era, the Vikings registered their presence wherever they find themselves. Having studied the lifestyle of Vikings, I have come to notice that to go far in the process of pursuing desires, there is a need to think like a Viking.

In The Head Of A Viking

During war times, Vikings don't wear helmets like they are presented in the movies we watch. They go to the battle bareheaded. To be able to think very well and apply my thoughts to the situation being handled, I shall empty my head of everything that may serve as a distraction. The Viking goes to battle with such a mindset, looking everywhere to be safe.

Vikings are not savages that wear torn clothes with blood-thirsty eyes.

Make Fire With Urine

Applying the strategies of the old ways, I would make sure my every little effort counts. This is so for the fact that before any decision is made, I would it with a cursory thought. That's one way to reach a successful point.

Bury The Ship

Ot was believed that in the Scandinavian, Vikings are honored when they are laid to rest in their ship. It is a cultural norm and it is so prevalent that in our world. Today, people have talked about the wasteful nature of the Vikings. Forgetting the past will help make the future past and forging ahead will help make life a lot easier during the year. So, we should be ready to press forward to the higher calling, leaving what was behind.

Tidy It Up

Clean up the place where you earn a living is one of my major thought for the year. This is not a resolution, it is just a strategy.

Keep learning, keep earning. Let's tidy up our work and make it look presentable and acceptable.

I will be opened for correction as much as possible, I mean constructive criticism.

Welcome to 2022. A year of more work.
