I wonder the stars ' opinion of her .
You can turn off the sun and she will glow.
Her ornate shape is hard to not stare over .
In stride she sways like trees when the winds blow .
Shall I compare her to a summer' s day?
For her smile beams like heaven's eye at noon.
Or the radiant flowers that bloom in May.
Her face glints in the dim light of the moon .
The stars wink at her; nature 's great wonder.
The African tropics remains her home.
But gender bias ever draws her under,
And prejudice ' s grip on her is fearsome.
Yet, strong as an ox she smiles through the pain .
As she struggles to break free of her chain .
