I must say it is really nice to be part of this wonderful family. Having what makes your weekend before you are fully into it.
For this weekend's engagement post, I will be writing Who inspires
Who has inspired you to be your best self? You can choose anyone at all for this answer, except your own family members. Is it an author, movie or book character, member of your community, Hive person, businessperson, podcast presenter, sportsperson, someone from history? Tell us who it is, how they inspired you, what actions you took and how your life has been improved because of it.***
I must say there are lots of things that have gotten me inspired over time. In all, I give thanks to God for making me make most of those decisions and those I didn't. In the subsequent paragraphs below I will be telling you guys about things and people who have inspired me to do well.
Among other things, I will like to first of all reference a movie which I have had the opportunity to watch with which I was opportune to learn some things from.
The name of this movie is BLUE STORY As young blood growing up the messages sent through this movie are very vital to me and my day-to-day living.
This movie has to do with two friends from different neighborhoods, which had different rival gangs. Outside the true friendship, there had turned soured and then there became enemies and everything lead to revenge on one another.
It is very much unfortunate that things had to turn sour later in the long run among those friends. This movie just summarizes the toxic blend of power, pride, and status that leads to tragedy, which breeds anger, which leads to revenge, which, in the end, only leads to more tragedy.
In a nutshell, I was therefore inspired by this movie in the following ways.
ABSTAIN FROM BAD FRIENDS/BAD GANGS
Following the story of this movie close, I discovered that if it was left for the two best friends, there would have surely settled their differences, but based on the external body which came in, bad advice was then passed and hence led to something different. On this note, I am inspired to settled every difference I have with any person really close to me to avoid further damage or harm to befall any of us.
DROP MY PRIDE
It is quite funny how we live most time. We humans who are all full of flaws and wrongdoing thinking that we are far better off than others that is really a wrong impression. Making reference to the movie, if any of the two friends had taken it up to themself to apologize for what happened there would have been causing further tragedy or trouble but there allow their pride to get the best of them and it, therefore, resulted in more tragedy. This, therefore, inspired me to as much as possible drop my pride and try to apologize for every little thing I do even if I am the right one or not.
AVOID TAKING REVENGE
I have been able to learn how to quickly forgive people who wrong me holding to the fact that nobody is perfect. Holding grudges in mind against someone will either make me think of ways to pay back which is very much wrong. Most times in the process of trying to take revenge over little things more damage can be caused.
There are numerous ways I have been inspired by this movie the above are the few I am able to come up with for now.
Furthermore, I have friends and teachers around me who I get inspiration from. As a young boy growing up, back then to when I was still in high school, I had this Mathematics teacher (Mr. AdeNiyi) who dedicated most of his time to teach us, not just teaching but making sure we understood every bit of what he is talking about.
He took it upon himself to specially train students who are interested to learn Maths. It is quite a memory and knowledge never to depart in which he imparted on those of us who were opportune to attend.
Through, him I got inspired on selflessness I had learned to try as much as possible to consider others are I do to myself, making sure those who are around me are okay as well as strangers who come around me.
Also, I had taken interest in the subject with which he was teaching and had to pursue a career in it, which is very much inspiring. Above all, while teaching He made time to tell us about God, to alongside put God first in everything we.
He was quite inspiring to many of us back then, up to date I still look up to him, he is the first role model I had and I am happy about that. Below is a photo of himself and his wife.
Also, I am very much grateful for the kind of friends I have, there has been a really great source of inspiration right from the first day we met here in school. From the very first start, there had been able to make me sit up and study always.
Having friends who really care about you is something that is hard and rare these days. I am very much grateful to God for sending me them.
Even in our darkest days when we might be going through a lot, there were always there, there have inspired me in so many ways some of which are; Neve to give up, always keeping my head high and keep on working, to love God, and try as much as possible to keep his words, etc. It is quite a blessing to be among such persons.
Lastly, I am being inspired by a through friend turn brother who is also a member in this wonderful hive-blog platform, no other person than @offia66. We have known each other for half of our life, He has been a great source of inspiration for he is always there for me no matter what happens.
From him, I have learned that there is no limit to what we can achieve in this life.
I have learned to work tirelessly and continuously.
Also, have been able to avoid numerous problems, difficulties through his wonderful advice and nice way of living.
I have been able to learn to live a simple life, following in his footsteps.
I am very much grateful to God for having all this wonderful set of persons in my life.
