we all know their has been a major changes in the lifestyle of we people, technology is it it's pick, even the unborn babies are not left out, going by this, there is also a wide difference between traditional ways of raising a child and the modern ways now.

most young men are women today find raising a child as a difficult task, because we all want out child to be a role model, we want a child that can give us peace of mind, we want a well disciplined child but gone are this days of beating a child heavily with the purpose of correcting them. modern ways of parenting doesn't allow that, because children now see beating for correction as an hatered, or abuse, you can even be sue for doing so in some country, yet we want them to be well trained and also be there friend. below are the effective ways to modern parenting as demanded today.

1. lead by example: you children are all watching your footsteps, also be careful of what you do or say in their presence, they believe you are their mentor and anything you do is right to them.
2. Correct Them from a Tender Age: The children of today has a sharp brain, start correcting then even from birth, do not wait until the grow up and adapt to a bad attitude before correcting them. let them grow up to know the difference between good and bad.
3. Be friendly to them: They most not only see you as father or mother alone, you must also be their best friend who they can speak up to at any time.
4. give light discipline when needed, and after each discipline, let them know why and reason what they most not do that again.
5. Be dynamic in your actions and discipline: They must not be able to predict your actions or discipline action. this will create a kind of fear in them.
6. Teach them about God's Words: have a time to teach them Bible stories and allow them to participate and ask questions.
7. Let them help with domestic activities: they most not just seat and eat. let the help to do some domestic work right from tender age.
8. Let them understand the importance of respect and and how to respect elders.
9. teach them your mother's tongue,
10. don't just teach them important of money, but teach them how to work for money.
