A young man and a young woman fell in love.
However, the man came from a low-income household. The girl's parents were displeased.
As a result, the young man decided to court not only the girl, but also her parents. In time, the parents saw that he was a decent person and was equally deserving of their daughter’s.
But there was another problem: The man was a soldier. As soon as the war broke out, he was transported overseas for a year. The man knelt on his knee the week before he departed and asked his lady love, "Will you marry me?" They were engaged after she wiped a tear and said yes. They decided to marry in a year when he returned from his mission.
However, catastrophe occurred. The girl was in a terrible car accident a few days after he left. It was a full-fledged collision.
She noticed her mother and father crying as she awoke in the hospital. She sensed something wasn't quite right right away.
She then discovered she had suffered a brain injury. Her face muscles were controlled by a section of her brain that was injured. Her once-beautiful face had been deformed. She sobbed as she looked in the mirror. "I was stunning yesterday." I'm a monster today." Her physique was likewise marred by a slew of unsightly wounds.
She made the decision to break her engagement to her fiancé right then and there. She had a feeling he wouldn't want her any longer. She'd lose track of him and never see him again.
The soldier wrote her letters for a year, but she didn't respond. He tried calling her several times, but she didn't answer.
"He's returned from the war," the mother declared one year later as she stepped into her room.
"No!" exclaimed the girl. Please don't let on that I've arrived!"
"He's getting married," the mother stated, handing her a wedding invitation.
The girl's heart began to sink. She knew she still loved him, but she had to put him out of her mind just now.
She opened the wedding invitation with a heavy heart.
Then she noticed her name on it!
"What is this?" she wondered, perplexed.
That's when the young man with the bouquet of flowers entered her room. "Will you marry me?" he knelt before her and said.
"I'm hideous!" the girl exclaimed as she covered her face with her hands.
"Your mother emailed me your images without your consent," the man said. I realized nothing had changed when I looked at your images. You're still the same person with whom I first fell in love. You're still as stunning as you've always been. "Because I care about you!"
