Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
In the journey of life, our conversation is what gives others access to know who we are. It's out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks and the hands do.
Talking about conversation, the word of God talks about our attitudes too.
We should not be covetous in our dealings with people around us. To be covetous means to desire what belongs to others in a lustful manner.
It's a sure evil that lead people to pull down others in order to take over their belongings.
God wants us to be contended with what we have. This is because even if we own the whole world, a lustful eyes can't be satisfied.
The Almighty God has not left us and will never do. As such, there's no need to fight and covet these earthly things.
Nothing on earth is worth it, for all is vanity.
Let's pray together.
Dear Father, thank you for the favours, blessings and provisions you have given to us. Please help us to remain faithful and contended, in Jesus name. Amen.
I hope you don't get too heavenly minded that you become earthly useless? You said that nothing is worth it in this wide world. Do you really mean it?
