Thank you @bestkizito for giving me this opportunity to share my previous Valentine’s Day experience, there’s a lot to share but I really want to concentrate on this one because it was my first Valentine’s Day celebration with my boyfriend but ended up been a disaster.
I have been dating this guy for 6months, so I was really sure that I was his main chick and soon going to be wife, we started dating from august, we loved each other sooo much, that we couldn’t stay a day without meeting.
Valentine’s Day was approaching, of course Valentine’s Day is a day we spread love, I made several plans on ways to surprise him, I ordered cup cakes, perfume, matching outfit and love cards. I was hoping to see what surprise he had for me too, we even discussed about going on a trip for 3 days to celebrate this special Valentine’s Day!!! Everything was going on well and smooth, until the very day of valentine, 14th February 2021.
I remember dressing up so simply with dis red outfit I bought for both of us, I sent him a text telling him I was all ready and waiting for him to show him, 30 minutes went by, I didn’t get a call from him, I tried calling but his line was off, I tried several times and it was still going through!!😭 I was sooo disappointed, I thought something bad must have happend to him, I tried calling his sister, but she was not picking my calls, what the heck is going on??
Anyways to cut the long story short, he didn’t show up on Valentine’s Day, he called the next day to apologize and made a lot of excuses, meanwhile I had thrown everything I bought for valentine into the waste bin. I didn’t let him finish , I ended the call, because obviously he was lieing to me. I even came to realize afterwards that his married! He was just fooling me all along and I wasn’t aware. I ended my relationship with him and loved on with my life.
I haven’t celebrated Valentine’s Day with anyone ever since I became an adult, except family. I haven’t gotten a Valentine’s Day gift 🎁 either, Just text messages.
