Hello everyone,
Good morning to you all. Thanks to everyone that welcomed me here yesterday to this amazing community after i joined yesterday. Its been awesome here and I'm so glad to start my blogging journey with this post.
This is a tutorial post of how I made souvenir purses for my brother's wedding. His wedding is this weekend and we'll be traveling out of state this morning so I decided to make few souvenir purses to be shared there during the program.
First I made the pattern then I marked it on the leather. After marking I cut it out neatly using a design scissors and I sow it one after the other. I was able to get 16 pieces from one yard of leather.
MATERIALS USED
- Leather of choice.
- Magnet
PROCESS
- I made a pattern for the desired design on a cardboard.
- I used the pattern to mark each piece on the leather.
- I cut it out using a design scissors.
- After cutting, I made a marking of 8 inches from the bottom.
- I then stitched one side using the 8 inches marking as guideline.
- I stitched the second side.
- Finally, I stitched the top side with the covering leather.
- Inside the purse at the top side, I made a marking where I fixed the magnet into.
- After everything, I burn out the excess threads using lighter.
