Hello everyone,

A beautiful morning to you all. I bring to you my recent bag design. It's a small classy male hand purse. The purse is made for my brothers as they always hold their bibles on their hands while going to church every Sunday. I figured it will be nice to make a small purse for them each that they can put their Bible and other things inside. Therefore yesterday evening, I started making them. Unfortunately I was able to complete one as if had gotten late already but I will be completing the second today. Below I'll be explaining how I made the bag from the start.

MATERIALS USED

  • Leather of choice
  • Zip
  • Zip heads
  • Design rope of choice (Optional)
  • Gum

PROCESS

  • The first thing I did was I calculated the suitable measurements because they are small boys, it won't be nice if the bag is too big. After getting the suitable measurements which I'll be posting below, I marked them on the leather and cut it neatly.

  • On the 9 by 6inches leather, I located the middle, Drew a straight line, applied gum on it and I gumed it together with the design rope as seen below. After gumming, I stitched it together.

  • Next thing I did was I cut the two pieces of the 3.5 by 13.5 inches leather into half creating 4 pieces. Then I fixed the zip on each pair making two pairs. This is because I was planning to make two bags, one pair for each bag.

  • I then stitched the 3.5 by 13.5 leather that I did not cut into half with the zip leather as seen below.

  • Final step was I joined the side with the main bag leather while putting the hand design rope at the top side.

  • As I was making the bag, my little brother came to show me his own creation too. He loves putting things together and he called this one cloth carrier. He said, he was going to be putting his dirty clothes inside so I took his pictures.
