Have you come across any wanna be philanthropists whose aim of doing all they do revolves around the lens of the camera. They are always seen to display their good work to every eye, so clear that even the blind could see.
And I often ask myself how that suddenly became the norm of everyone trying to do good. Why must it always be that way?
Isn't it possible in this generation to have philanthropists who are known for their good deeds and not what the shows to us? All in a bid to be respected or loved
Just like politicians, today they give out 1 Cup of rice and 2 cups of garri to the needy and it's everywhere on social media like that's what will feed them for the rest of their lives.
All of these for what?
To save the needy of starvation or to use them as baits to gain favor and respect in the eyes of those they deceive?
I think we can do better, I think we can give with our right hand without our left hand knowing a thing about it. The media shouldn't be the judge of how massive your good works are because that will only last a moment. The news flash can never be compared to the joy that flows from those hearts you touched, those stomachs you fed, those lives you saved without blowing the trumpet
That's all that matters.
