No, they don't like to be photographed like this.
We photograph their poverty. Who likes that?
Personally, I hate it.
But it's the only way to do this project on this scale.
By taking our supporters with us and showing them,
what we buy with their money and who gets it,
everything is transparent.
It also gives people here a hint of the conditions people live in.
It is shameful for humanity.
There are still so many people (not just in Uganda) who are starving, have no water, no toilet, no electricity, no healthcare.....
It is a constant struggle for survival.
Many do not get enough to eat.
Sometimes there is only one meal a day.
The harvest was poor this year because it rained too much.
They are happy because we bring them food,
something against hunger.......not because we take a photo....
