Greetings friends , it's an honor for me to share my first day in campus experience
It all started in cross River State University (crutech) calabar. On 6th of January 2020, which was my first day in school, it is mandatory for all Mass communication student to wear black and white ( black skirt/trouser and white shirt) on Monday. My first lecture was supposed to be by 8 :00 am lecture which is GSS course, and i don't know anywhere in the campus or even the lecture hall, i don't even know my department,
in fact i don't know left and right, so i dress up on my black and white uniform (cloth) and starting going to school, instead of me to ask people for directions i decided not to asked because of one movie that i watch, that talked about a girl first day in school she asked group of boys for directions so they decided to prank and gave wrong direction.
I decided in my heart that i will not ask that i will just follow people that is putting on black and white since it's Mass communication student dressing code. On my way going i saw some girls that was putting on black and white, i followed them to there department without asking them if they are mass communication students, so when i got there i looked around people were putting on different clothes,at this point i got to know that something is wrong, so i ask someone if this is where Mass communication students are having lecture, she told me no and then she gave me directions on how to get to my department.
I was so embarrassed, i thought the embarrassing day was over, but i was wrong because when i got to my department, where we are supposed to have the lecture, we were told that year 2 student are having lecture here, so our course rep. decided that we should use another hall, we started running from that lecture hall to another lecture hall getting to that place we were told that another department are having lecture there.
We were running around like a people that don't have destination, people were looking at us somehow, until we found the place we are supposed to have the lecture before we get there they have already started lecture since it is GSS course like five departments are having the same course with us.
That day became my first day experience in campus that i can't forget.
