I saw the way he looked at me immediately I stepped into his office, I felt so uncomfortable but I knew I was there for a serious buisness so I maintained a mild smile. He asked me to take my seat before I could utter any word.
I sat quietly as he perused my credentials. He smiled and said "Your CV is copacetic, you would make a good team lead for the technical department but you need to pass the practical test".
"I'd be delighted to do so sir. When will that be?" I asked.
"Tomorrow by 6pm" he responded passing me a sheet of paper which he had scribbled something on while he perused my credentials.
I picked up the sheet of paper which contained the name and address of an hotel, room number and a phone number.
"What am I supposed to do here sir?" I asked like I was ignorant of his motive.
"I believe you're not a child, you would be having your practical class there" he said and gave a smirk.
"Practical class at an hotel? This is absurd and professionally unethical. I can't believe such things still happens in 2020. Thanks for the offer but you can keep your job sir." I said and walked out of his office.
