LIFE IS NOT A COMPETITION

in blurtafrica •  2 years ago

Many people's lives have been destroyed because they are in such unhealthy competition to meet up with their mates in the race of life.

Many are on the race to meet up with the achievements of their friends, colleagues and mates. They have no idea, what those friends, colleagues and mates have been through, they know not the stories behind the glory they enjoy today, but just want to hit it massive all at ones without going through the proper and right processes involved.

Sadly enough, many of these people are pushed by the family; parents topping the list, comparing their wards with others who "have made it" without they having any idea of how they made it.

You hear talks like, "look at your mate", "nor be your mate build house so, or drive car", "your mates don marry", "your mate, this...your mate, that..."

They often forget, "your mates are dead". But they will never ask you to die.

One thing that keeps recurring to my mind whenever I hear, read or see these ill statements from parents to their wards is; I often wonder, do these parents forget they also had mates that they don't measure up to?

Why don't they go do the things their mates did to be like their mates, rather than forcing or pushing their wards to go be like others, instead of encouraging them to be their best?

As parents, friends, colleagues, we should be mindful of what we say to others...cause words have a way influencing us especially coming from our close circles.

Rather than compare people with others, encourage them to be that which they dream to be and that they should be patient through the process. Success is not a sudden thing and it doesn't come by chance.

We should also know that grace and timing differ between individuals. Do not look at someone else to measure yourself...rather be thankful for every feat you crossed and be grateful for each achievement you gain. Never compare or compete with others...you may end up missing your mark...cause everyone has got their own mark to make in life.

There's been too much evil in the world today, we should not add to them via the unhealthy words from our mouths.
Speak to encourage and edify others, not to discourage them or sow an evil seed into their subconsciousness that they will meditate on and eventually do evil just to succeed.

Be wise in your speech.
