I Talk About Blurt

in blurt365 •  4 years ago

Hello, Blurters!

I just thought I'd make a quick post to talk about what's on my mind today. I don't post very often, so I thought I'd just take the time to actually write something for a change. 🙂

My Blurt Power Up

Any day can be Blurt Power Up Day. Some people power up their tokens at regular intervals. I just have an account in which I put money every week, and when it reaches a certain amount, I buy some crypto and convert a portion of it into BLURT.

Today while I bought a bunch of crypto, I converted a portion of it into BLURT and powered it up.

I powered up a total of 4300 BLURT.

That should help give my upvote a bit more kick.

Engagement

I was reading a post by @denmarkguy in which he talks about the importance of engagement for building a community on a social platform such as Blurt.

I think engagement is an important part of a social media platform. If there is no engagement, it's hard to know if anyone actually reads your posts or if you're just figuratively shouting into an empty room.

I know I've been slacking a bit on engagement lately since I've been preoccupied with other things. I do go through my feed and read some of the posts, but I often don't bother to leave comments, and I know I should make an effort to do so more often. I want this place to feel like an actual social media platform and not just a platform to be used as a money printing machine. So I'm going to try to make more of an effort to interact with the people who post on here, and I invite everyone to do the same. Let's make this into a place that rewards its users in more than just a monetary fashion.

Buying Crypto in Canada

If you live in Canada and you're looking for an easy, hassle-free way to buy crypto, I suggest you try out Shakepay. It's very easy to buy Bitcoin and Etherium with it. It works through Interac e-transfers. The KYC is very simple and doesn't require you to send a picture of your driver's license or anything like that. And I also found out recently why it's call Shakepay: you can get a few Satoshis for free by opening the app once a day and shaking your phone.

If you use my referral link to sign up, you and I will both get $10 free when you buy $100 worth of crypto.

Here's my referral link: https://shakepay.me/r/QXTDW4D

Well, that'll be it for this one.

Until next time, I hope you all have a great one!

Yes engagement is key IMO. Doing well on these sites as far as upvotes goes, is maybe around 3$. We know that represents a lot of money behind the vote power, so. But compare that to engagement, that 3$ is nothing! I myself would rater make a few pennys, and get lots of comments when I post. Sure the money part is nice, but lets be real, for most of us we would have to post at least a 100 times a week for that to amount to something sustainable.

Nice to see you posting @saboin, and thanks for the shoutout! Of course, always appreciate your curation efforts.

I feel hopeful that Blurt might be able to establish a culture/tradition of engagement and interaction... after all, it is crypto SOCIAL content we are dealing with here!

I want this place to feel like an actual social media platform and not just a platform to be used as a money printing machine.

Most times i don't post for rewards but sometimes i do but then blurtters have really made blurt look so much like a moment or better still a money printing machine as they don't comment on peoples post. I wouldn't comment on your post if you don't comment on mine and there is no negotiation about that. Thank you sir for this post. This is actually gona make this chain alot more social as it is suppose to be..

I have found that commenting is one of the best ways to get support for your posts. When you leave comments on people's posts, they will naturally want to check out your profile and see what you post about.

Thanks for stopping by! 😊

My friend. How have you been?

Hey, there! Sorry for the late reply!

I've been doing not too badly. I'm more tired these last few weeks. I guess everyone is getting more tired lately. It's probably a side effect of all this never ending COVID thing.

Apart from that, things are pretty good.

How are things with you?
