A Sunday Walk at Seih Sou Forest

Hola ladies and gentlemen, how are you?

Yesterday I spend my afternoon at Sieh Sou, a huge and beautiful forest located in the Saint Paul district and only a 15 minutes walk from Thessaloniki city center.

The view from up there was magnificent. @Illusivelf accompanied me and we spent our afternoon chilling at a high spot and enjoying the view.

View from St. Anargiroi, a church located 5 minutes away from Seih Sou Forest

St. Anargiroi was the first spot with a view we found on our way to Seih Sou. We didn't stay long but the view was magnificent as well as the temple!

After taking a couple of photos, we were back on track to Seih Sou forest. There was a surprise waiting for us there though.

There was a Zoo right next to the forest's entrance and even though both me and @illusivelf are not in favour of captivating animals for entertainment we decided to check it out 'cause it was free of charge!

Luckily there was a small variety of animals and most of them were living in a quite health envinroment.

Enjoy some photos I shot with my Potato-phone 🤣

A beautiful peacock! We didn't get to see it flexing it's tail though!

This ram's horns were broken. I think these were the old horns breaking apart making room for the new ones

2 Deers not very fond of people. I've never seen a deer before. They were beautiful

To tell you the truth, I felt kinda sad after we left the zoo cause animals did not look so happy being there but I guess that's life.

Anyways, the Seih Sou forest was right next to the zoo so we started exploring the forest for a spot to relax and oh boy we found a good one!

The view was breathtaking. I didn't know Thessaloniki was such a big city until yesterday!
We were staring at the view for more than 2 hours while drinking home-made lemonade and eating sandwiches. You guess you can call it a picnic! Hahaha!

@illusivelf sure looks happy

Everything good must come to an end so a cople of hours later we started walking down to the city center.

We both didn't know how to get home cause we just moved to Thessaloniki but it was so much fun walking without knowing where you are going. I like exploting cities that way when I travel.

We passed right next to some ancient ruins and some really beautiful parks before we arrive home! So much stuff to see and explore here! I LOVE THAT.

We were both feeling really tired so we decided to cook an unhealthy meal (potatoes with bacon and cheese), watch "Ratched" series on Netflix and call it a day!

So, how did you spend your Sunday Afternoon?
