The big news for the week is that my Steemit account has started earning over a STEEM a week in curation rewards. I have 673 STEEM. If I manage to front run a few whales, my income should stay above 1 STEEM a week.
It took just six years to built a twenty cent a week income!
I have 6000 HIVE and reliably pull in 10 HIVE a week. Add to that the income from my Hive-Engine empire and I a appear to be making $3 a week from my SteemIt/HIVE empire.
Turning My Steely-Eyes toward BLURT
Now that I am receiving an income from SteemIt/HIVE, I've turned my Steely-Eyes toward BLURT.
I have just under 7500 BLURT. The curation report says that I am earning 10 BLURT a week.
Of course, one has to pay a fee to vote.
The Blurt Block Report says that I pay a fee to upvote and a fee to collect the reward.
It appears that I am only paying the fee to upvote.
Does BLURT collect a fee on both Upvotes and curation reward payments? The numbers reported on Blurt Blocks don't add up!
If BLURT collects just one fee; then my account is increasing by 3 BLURT a week. If it is collecting two fees then my account is decreasing by 4 BLURT a week.
Anyway, my original BLURT goal was 5000 BLURT. I am now thinking that I need at least 10,000 before I experience any sort of blurtisfaction.
I should be earning about 13 BLURT a week at that point.
I fear that I really need about 20K BLURT to be happy.
Maybe Mick Jagger is right. Blurtisfaction will always be beyond my reach ... no matter how hard I try and I try and I try and I try.
I just can't get no Blurtisfaction.
Why Not Just BUY BLURT?
I think the best approach to BLURT is to buy $50 worth of tokens and to ride from there.
For that matter, I bought a lot of BLURT, but, for some unknown reason, the money keeps disappearing the the swap. I've lost over 4000 BLURT in the swaps.
Conclusion
Anyway, I am now earning one STEEM and ten HIVE a week from my curation efforts. I hope to some to add BLURT earnings to my weekly income some day. I fear that I am several years away from that goal.
I think so, for each transaction fees are charged and then burned, this is done to prevent mass spamming
Thanks for the response.
Since all upvotes result in a curation reward, the system need charge only one reward.
IMHO, the system should charge for manual activities.
BTW: I recorded my account value. Received several curation rewards. The value changed a little but not the recorded value of transactions.
Blurt does not have an RC system like on Hive or Steem and that is why every type of transaction has to be paid, otherwise dishonest people could set up hundreds of bots which would exploit the “hole” , this would overload all the nodes and collapse the blockchain
