Living offgrid on a private owned forest plot is what Liberstad is all about , but don't expect a free ride . ;-)
Surviving is not free. I understand that perfectly. Free ride? I got my feet. I'll walk, hunt, grow my own food and share with the locals. What type of small and large game have you seen there? Is there a fishing spot?
Moose , small deer , hare , and yes on the grounds there is a huge leg where we can fish .
But for hunting a licence is needed and fishing in the big river not far away need's all kind's of government permissions to . As this is a private town and forest , hunters are not allowed to hunt in it anymore , letting the hunters hunt was income to the town , but was stopped last year with the view on the coming future . Let nature thrive now , so we can hunt ourselves when we need to in some darker future .
Besides agricultural farming on your own plot to survive and trade with you could also think about farming animals like goats or chickens . When government does collapse and goes away , the big river nearby can provide lot's of salmon . Where it would be awesome if people started up a community at the coast , for a fishing and trade harbor town .
( in the end we will build long boats again and go of trading ( plundering ? ) on the English shores )
