I joined blurt in 2021,before the summer (I am a bit late)
I originally thought the site was for swearing content because of the logo
Since I can have a potty mouth in the videos I figured, why not.
2 years or none of the bull shit I dealt with on Steemit and Hive
Before a full year of being on Steemit, I was targeted by a downvote bot who used loads of accounts to downvote every post. It had to be a bot since it got loads of dislikes when the post was only 5 minutes old, and it took people something up to day 3 to find my posts.
After 2 years, a user harassed me for using Steemit as my "income stream" despite making tons of videos explaining WHY it's my means of work.
Then another guy harassed me for not understanding what witnesses are. Despite calling out his ableism, he says he bullies disabled people who "deserve it"
How do you expect people to learn anything from bullying them?
Couldn't block him because of no block button
Then on Hive with the recent events with Hive watchers. Then on the Bee hive site, an ex-follower harassed me, because I wanted more votes for the hours, even DAYS, WEEKS I put into my video content. Don't harass me because YOU THINK I wave a wand and generate content/
Long story short, I had none of THAT on Blurt
It seems like Whaleshares and Burt are the only sites where I did not encounter mega-toxic people
The only Steemit competitor that's still standing (and whale shares) I mean sites I've used
Golos ( a Russian steemit) flopped
Weku ( it had the interface Steemit had before the upgrades) flopped
Seems like the devs on here KNOW how to compete.
We should tell people about Blurt as a competitor, Hive shot themselves in the foot the moment they started accusing people of cheating just because they are small creators
I really should have shifted to blurt from day one. Sure I have to accumulate more credits for a tradable amount but the toxic-free setting
