Is blurt an opportunity in our backyard being ignored?

It is quite often that we aim for a far hanging fruit and over look a fruitful opportunity that is quite close and within our reach?

Perhaps it is human psychology that stimulates people to go for the chase before the hunt or the herding tendency that makes one follow a group?

Either way investing is neither of this. It is more of spotting an opportunity and riding to success with this intent I write and explore the opportunity of Blurt.

Blurt is a crypto that came to life as a result of a hard fork of steem So it means it has the same number of accounts that steemit had at the time of the hard fork that means a big user base.

The price of Blurt is low in fact much lower as compared to steem or hive So the big players are not as active as they are on steemit or hive.

Do we see an opportunity?

If you are interested in the crypto space then this looks like an interesting opportunity.
I say this because There was a time a few years back when steem was in a similar price valuation.
Steem was at a all time low of about 6 cents. In fact the exact price as per the coinmarketcap.com website was 0.069192 USD on Mar 10, 2017
However some people saw a potential of steem at that price points and invested.
Historically it went up to $8.57 USD on Jan 03, 2018. During this journey it got a lot of attention and a lot of people got on board.

So with the experience of steem in the DNA of Blurt can the learning experience be used to emulate the success of Steem ?

The fork advantage

Steem is a much older and established crypto currency and blockchain having a market cap of $84,085,734 USD which did not happen in one day. It grew over time.

However being a coin born out of a fork has its advantage.
Take for instance Hive it is already at a market cap of $78,683,244 USD

So could blurt capitalize on the hard fork coin advantage ? perhaps time would tell.

Getting ready for the next bull run

The next bull run would give us plenty of stories to write about not just about crypto but so many things in general.

People are willing to experiment with blockchain driven social media platforms and the right incentive could see the space grow many fold.
So diversifying our portfolio looks like a good idea.

The opportunity for authors

Now that the blurt price is one odd cent and much lower from its listing price so it is a good opportunity to collect as much blurt power as possible.

Currently the reward settings are such that all your earnings go to increase your blurt power.
In a way this is quite nice place to learn earn and grow.

It reminds me of good old days

There was a time when there were no down votes and life was simple.

Blurt life is a way to experience those good old days and power up the accounts.

Learning from History

Remember it is easier to power up when a currency is cheap.
Even a $1 power up makes you 100 points stronger from where your account stands today.
Even the risk reward is in your favor.
A $ 1 or a $10 risk is not much if you look at the journey of steem and steemit from a few cents to a couple of dollars.

Would blurt go up to a couple of dollars ?

I cannot say that and it is only the future which holds the answer to this one very important question.

Would the inactive user base become active on blurt and cause fresh life to kick in ? Perhaps time would tell.

Sum of parts theory

As an investor so far the sum of parts mostly adds up to more. Take for instance the case of Bitcoin.
Suppose a person has one bitcoin and he bought it after the last hard fork.
So if BTC is at $12000 his holding would be worth $12000 only as compared
to an investor who held bitcoin before the first fork so his holding would be the the value of 1 BTC+ the value of all the coins generated due to the hard forks.
The same applies for ETH as well.
So for long term Hodlers the sum of parts may add up and give a good portfolio return.

  • As a crypto that is over a month old its charts are still very young and we cannot say for certain if the initial dump is over or is there further downside.
all one can say is that it would be depend a lot on the investors who put in their money, content creators and curators and perhaps a little bit of luck.
Just imagine what would happen to the Blurt pricing if it got listed on a top shot exchange like Binance

At what point Blurt becomes an interesting opportunity for you?

  • Price point as an investor
  • As a content creator and curator
  • As someone who wants to post his/her life's happenings and earn some crypto in return.

I think you have given the perfect nostalgic narrative of what Blurt is about, it is kind of like finding that long lost unboxed figurine or that usb stick full of retro game ROMs that takes you back to a simpler, happier time. I strongly believe if we can foster happiness first, success will follow.
