Hello my blurt fam, how are you all doing? I feel delighted to get back here and interact with you all! So as promised in my last blog today am here to share with you the ultimate recipe of coffee with no real coffee in it with my coffee loving friends out their. So any guesses that what could be the main ingredient in coffee with no coffee powder? Well it's the white chick peas!
See have you ever thought that how a protein packed whole grain could also be used in this way? To begin with the process we will need white chick peas to be roasted till they turn fully brown as then only they will impart the full coffee flavour & aroma
Once done roasting grind them into fine powder and there you go your coffee powder is ready. Now to make cold coffee take 1 cup of chilled milk add some sugar or you can choose dates to make it more healthier now add the prepared coffee powder and blend it all together. To make it more chilling you can serve it with ice or you can also garnish it with vanilla ice cream or chocolate sauce etc anything that you like.
You won't believe this will turn out to be more tastier than your original coffee and also except the one who made it no one will ever be able to find out that it's not made of real coffee ! Isn't it just amazing? Now for the hot coffee too add the same coffee powder made out of chickpeas to hot boiling water wait along with sugar or jaggery (for an healthier option) wait for a minute and strain it out have it directly as black coffee or you can add milk to it to make it normal coffee.
You can also use plant based milk like almond, coconut etc. Do give it a try and you will definitely be amazed. This drink is not only tasty but healthy as you know chick peas are high in proteins, fiber, vitamins, iron and magnesium. Also it will help you get rid of a stimulating chemical (caffeine) which is harmful to your health.
