How to Talk to Your Cat With a Simple Trick

in blurt •  16 days ago

Greetings to blurt nation, been quite a while. I hope everyone is doing well. I've got a little trick I learned from my 3 cat pets. Apparently there's a way to talk to them.

If you notice your cat ignores you, maybe you're not speaking its language. Some scientists conducted a study and they found that slow blinking at cats, like how they also slow blink when relaxed, makes them trust you more.

The scientists tested this by having people blink slowly at cats. Funny enough, the cats blinked back and even got closer to the people involved in the experiment. The cool thing is that this trick works with both familiar and new cats.

Just incase you're not aware, cats actually see staring as a threat, but slow blinking shows you're friendly so don't worry about getting attacked by a cat, haha

So, if you want a better bond with your cat, try slow blinking. It might just start a cute little conversation between you and your furry friend.

I have a friend that asked me to take care of her cat for her. One day when I was petting the cat, I remembered that slowly blinking at your cat would show affection, so I blinked slowly at her. Nothing happened. It was slightly underwhelming, but what did I expect? For her to jump on me and shower me with kisses? I wish...

This might be a strange situation if I was in it because i would expect cats to respond to that. 🤔 I'm thinking maybe if it's hungry or pregnant it might not respond I'll have to test that to see but thanks so much for the comment, I'm pleased by it❤️
