Carrots are so beneficial and productive vegetable. Today my brother bring a bundle of carrots for juice and make some other delicious food so i think to share some information with you.
Introduction
Carrots are tasty and highly nutritious. They are good source of vitamin A. It act as antioxidants . They are present inn different colors like yellow, white and pink color. It is mostly produce in winter season but now it can harvest whole year by artificial methods.
Composition
They are composed of different content like
Water 88%
Calories. 41
Protein. 9 grams
Carbs. 9.6 grams
Fiber. 2.8 grams
Fat. 0.2 grams
Sugar 4.7 grams
Fiber:
Pectin is soluble form of fibre present in carrots. It. Lower blood Cholesterol by slowing down the digestion of starch and sugar. They can also feed friendly bacteria in your gut.
Carrots contain vitamins and minerals that is explained below
It is a good source of vitamin A ,biotin and vitamin K1
Vitamin A :
Carrots are rich in beta carotene which is converted by body into vitamin A. Vitamin A is important for immune function and development.
Biotin :
It play role in protein and fat absorption and metabolism.
Vitamin K1:
It is used for bone development and its health as well as blood coagulation.
Potassium:
It is essential to control blood pressure which is present in carrot .
Vitamin B6:
It is used to convert food into energy.
Benefits :
It act as antioxidants ,improve immune system and reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer .
As antioxidants:
Alpha carotene is present in carrot that act as antioxidants. It convert into vitamin A.
Lutein is present in yellow carrots that increase eye health and act as antioxidants.
Weight loss:
Carrots has small amount of calories. It act as fullness and decrease calories Intake.
Disadvantages:
Sometime carrots can cause allergy. If your body is allergant to birch pollen that you will be sensitive to carrots.
Carrots grow in contaminated soil and water that contain metals which effect its safely.
Carrots can be used in different processes like juice and in cooking tasty dishes. It can be eat as uncooked The juice of carrots contain protein and minerals. Mostly people in Pakistan make juice juice of carrots by adding some oranges to make its taste favourable as well as healthy.
We make recipe of carrots by adding dry fruits in it. It is so amazing in taste and healthy.
