I wrote much of this as a comment and reproducing it (with edits) in the hope that more Blurters gain some basic understanding of how the whole system works.
It is worth knowing the difference between glitches you can resolve yourself and major traumas that need to wait for some back-end repair. Just as you should be able to fix minor things in your car, and not call out a mechanic to change a lightbulb or check the oil level.
Science may seem like magic to most, but technology can be pure sorcery!
The issues that started some 2 weeks ago had nothing to do with the adverts. They were, and continue to be, sporadic. Hence, was not such a wise idea to compound an unresolved issue by adding advertising code. So be it. It takes time and some digital forensics to locate some issues that may break stuff without leaving a visible fingerprint.
What classifies as a problem? There is the blockchain - it is unique in the sense that all copies are identical. The RPC servers, aka API nodes, process instructions to and from the chain. The various apps interact with the chain via those nodes. Some of those apps are blogging front-ends, and some are not.
Any problems blogging, voting, logging in, whatever, can be caused by either the front-end itself or one of the RPC/API nodes. As a user, one can do oneself a huge favour, and save time, by doing some very basic investigating.
If the issue is at the login stage, it is worth doing a hard refresh of the page and trying again. If this seems to do nothing, then delete both the cookies and the cache associated with the site. Every login creates a session token that allows you to jump from page to page while remaining logged-in; sometimes old session tokens are not properly removed and cause some confusion to the system. It can also be the case that devs have been working on a site and have changed some files; again, doing a hard refresh will replace the old files stored in the local cache with the new files.
Just remember...
If this doesn't work, there is now a page showing all the different Blurt apps, including alternative blogging platforms and keychain apps. Bookmark this for future reference. If you really think that "the site" has a problem then try another one. There are now multiple front-ends, they are currently based on the same template and read and write to the same blockchain, so it really doesn't matter which one you use.
If you are logged in and things appear not to work, then head over to the Settings page. This has a dropdown menu of RPC/API nodes, so you can easily change node and check which one works. If there is one that works and the issue is resolved then the problem was with the previous node. The nodes should switch automatically but this may not happen. This is also true of any Keychain or similar app.
The perception that somehow one platform doesn't work but another one does may have nothing at all to do with the platform, but with the fact that some (all?) of the new platforms also run their own RPC servers. This is actually great for the whole system as Blurt has always been short of RPC servers. But the point here is that each platform will work with whichever RPC server is also working.
For example, if you end up using blurt.one and wonder why it works, that's probably because it defaults to its own blurt.one RPC (which is actually the tekraze.com node). If you go into its Settings page and pick another RPC that is down, then you will end up with the same issues as before.
To stress this point further, you could be on blurt.one and switch to the blurtlatam.com node; you end up with a blurt.one experience but your interactions are with the blurtlatam.com node!
That the issues that started some two weeks ago have not yet been resolved is a frustration for all, but the real cause has not yet been found. The above workarounds should satisfy most users most of the time.
If problems persist, then you should check on Discord or Twitter.
TLDR version
If you can't login, do a hard refresh or clear both cache and cookies. Try again.
If using Keychain then go to Preferences and change the RPC node there. Try again.
If still not work, go to Blurt Apps and try another front-end.
If can login but actions not working, go to Settings and change RPC/API node. Try again.
If none of this works, then go to Discord for further info.
If you are on a mobile, ask someone who knows - I don't have one, so all info is for PC browsers.
I like this version! :-)
Devs have increased the number of tags per post and it's not working. I have many complaints in #polish community. When people adding more than 5 tags their posts are not showing up on #polish tag.
There must be a bug with this "tag update" and that's why rpc nodes are going crazy
I've linked your comment to the devs - await reply.
Can you be more specific about the error?
The first tag should still be picked up as the main tag.
look at this post

you can see #polish tag at bottom tag list but when you go there

, you can't find this post
Anyways, about a year ago Hive had similar problem. Server disconnection errors, they could not fix it for weeks, then I have noticed (other users too) that some posts are missing on my blog feed. I have contacted gtg and they fixed it. I don't remember his answer (what caused the problem)
@tekraze please see above
Noted, will check that
Yeah, thanks a lot to all of you the blurt team and devs. Before, when the front-ends down I'm one of those who panic slightly lol. But now when it's down, I just check my bookmarks which front-ends are working.
I have saved most of them so I have options.
And gain thank you so much for this one-stop blurt dapps link.
BLURT ON!
Good, I just hope more users can learn to do these basic checks - then if there really is a serious problem, then they can ask in chatrooms.
I hope so, in the Filipino community we are helping each other specially those newbies.
Thank you for your help in letting everyone understand and find their work arounds so we can all keep blogging blurt to the moon.
The interesting thing that with all the issues we had had, the price was crazy. And when everything start working here, the price went down again. I hope to understand such anomaly. While I expected the price to go down when APIs and RPCs were down and I couldn't create an account, the opposite happened. Usually in other cryptos when they have issues the price go down. Maybe that's the magic of blurt. lol
I think lots of ppl coming over here as getting sick of being downvoting but we kind of need to get some brand new ppl over rly I just got a friend signed up today :D he'll post this week
Trying to figure out the price actions of major top 100 coins is enough of a mystery.
I myself just track the numbers - the glib and obvious answer is that there are more buyers than sellers - the why? we can speculate ;-)
Irrespective of the problems going on with the Frontend the price was decent , i guess because of RobiniaSwap V2 launch. I saw there is a good amount of bblurt that was bought to take part in Pools of RobiniaSwap V2.
It is just my opinion on how price was a bit up , Thank you.
I feel blurt is one of the more stable cryptos actually
Am satisfied with your enlightenments,
At least I now have a bit of relief.
Switching RPC/API nodes and clearing cookies and cache files is what I usually do when I encounter problem logging in.
I pray the problems be resolved soonest
Thank you.
You are absolutely right. I agree with your point.
I had a problem too. But I solved it myself. That's why I want to solve it myself first. If not able to resolve then talk to @megadrive.
I was away from blurt for a few days. I was doing some important work. I have written a post about the same. I want you to read and advise me to write well. My post link https://blurtlatam.com/blurtyield/@tanweeralam/i-am-back
New users on Blurt: Blurt is down? Oh my gosh it's the end of Blurt!
Old users on Blurt: Blurt is down? It's just another day at the office.
haha - apart from the old users who behave like new users ;-)
This is something people should try , there might be issue with the rpc they are currently using. RPC's goes down and that effect frontend be it voting or posting.
Switching rpc's can help also as now we have several front ends changing them can help as well.
Switching RPC/API nodes are what I do most of the time. I usually try one by one the available nodes which one works fine. If not, then I'll try some of the available front-ends. Thanks for this enlightening post.

Okay... I started with Blurt.blog and never saw a reason to switch front-end until last week. When the issue became serious, I decided to be switching between blurt.blog, blurtlatam and blurt.live
So far so good. No issue at the moment. Would be nice for the root of the problem to be identified and solved for good but we can do basic on-chain activities with the alternative front-ends so, we work with what we have at the moment.
Regards to the team.
Congratulations my bro
