My weekly look at Blurt's economic indicators.

All rises and falls are relative to last week.

I missed last week as was busy. This doesn’t make a huge difference to the calculated economic metrics, but obviously doubles the new BLURT created.

Insights

Voting activity has increased over this fortnight, with both the vested proportion and voting capacity going up, hence we see the vote yield estimate nudging down to below 18%.

The SWAP.HIVE:SWAP.BLURT pool on Tribaldex is obviously still functioning, with liquidity providers earning swap fees. I am not sure if a new cycle of incentives shall be released. You can check your personal swap fee income on Tribaldex.

BLURT Prices

We now have a BLURT price feed within the Blurt wallet, so I shall show the difference between our BLURT feed estimate and the BLURT pool price.

BLURT feed: $0.0028 (+16%/week)

BLURT in SWAP.HIVE:SWAP.BLURT pool: $0.0023 (-3%/week)

BLURT price this week has hovered within the range of around 9-11 satoshis. Note there seems to be a divergence between the two prices, so for now is cheaper to buy BLURT on Hive-Engine.

Note that any swap pool price will not necessarily reflect open market prices. A swap price will only change when there is an actual trade; buying BLURT (or SWAP.BLURT) will increase the price and selling will lower it. There are no "open orders", so every transaction will have an effect. This is how arbitrageurs make their money: buying and selling price discrepancies across different markets.

I hope these numbers will give members some insights into how the Blurt economic system is managed and, more importantly, how each individual user can both benefit from and affect the whole chain.
