The Blurt Upvote Paradox: Burning Tokens to Make Money?

in blurt •  5 months ago

Have you ever felt the joy of getting upvoted on Blurt, only to see the value of those upvotes diminish as the BLURT token price dips? It's a frustrating reality. This post explores a seemingly paradoxical strategy: making money by burning tokens, all thanks to the user @ctime!

The Upvote Downturn:

Imagine this - you write a fantastic Blurt post and receive a flurry of upvotes. You're ecstatic! But then, the BLURT token price takes a tumble. Now, those valuable upvotes are worth less than you anticipated.

Burning for Stability:

Here's where things get interesting. By burning BLURT tokens, you can theoretically make them more stable. The basic principle is scarcity: the less BLURT available, the higher the potential value of each remaining token.

Enter @ctime, the Upvote Wizard:

Here's where @ctime comes in as a game-changer. You can continue crafting your stellar Blurt posts as usual. But before hitting "Publish," head over to the "Beneficiaries" section. Here's the key - allocate a percentage of your post rewards to the user @null. These tokens sent to @null will be effectively burned, reducing the overall BLURT supply.

The Upvote Reward:

In exchange for burning your tokens, @ctime will upvote your post. The number of upvotes you receive depends on various factors, with the percentage you allocate to @null playing a significant role. A higher percentage (say, 80%) translates to more upvotes from @ctime compared to a lower percentage (like 20%).

The Circle of Appreciation:

Once @ctime upvotes your post, he'll leave a comment expressing gratitude for your contribution to burning tokens. Here's the beauty of the system: Don't forget to upvote @ctime in return! He’s providing a valuable service for the Blurt community.

A Big Thank You!

A huge shoutout to @ctime for keeping this system running and promoting token stability on Blurt. It's a win-win situation for everyone involved!

Burning Blurt tokens by sending 50% to @null is a great way to reduce the inflation and Total Supply of Blurt from 500 Million down to 21 Million ….

….. just like Bitcoin.

Maybe then 1 Blurt will be worth $60,000 USD ?

Imagine that ?

Blurt goes up and down all the time.

I like when it goes down so I can buy a lot more Blurt.

I earn the most with High Blurt Power and Curation.
