The Unexpected Encounter

Anya had forever been a girl in the city. Her life was dominated with the sounds with the skyscrapers and dense traffic. However, when her grandmother fell ill, it appeared that Anya was swapping the city for a calm and peaceful place. The little town of Willow creek with its curved cobblestones and beautiful houses was far from the much of her native surroundings.
As she was also wondering around the village, Serge remembered the old cemetery and She found a secret garden, the green paradise behind an old ivy-covered house. Curiosity got the better of her and she stepped within. The garden was filled with colors; flowers of all the colors imaginable, huge trees all standing around a small stream. She was in that garden for hours, completely captivated.
One sunny day, while resting beside the water, Anya sensed a disturbance in the nearby bushes. From out of the towels, a small letter f emerged – the head of a small-furred animal – a shadowy fox with emerald green eyes. The creature appeared to be in no danger, as its tail was undulating in excitement while getting close to Anya. She stretched her palm towards this adorable beast and shockingly, the animal rubs himself against her hand.
After that day, Anya and the little fox, whom she would name Ember, became best friends. They were always together in the afternoons; running around the forests, splashing in the water, and just sitting around. A comforting joy came over Anya’s life because of the fox which was the exact opposite of the bustling city she had come from.
Anya’s grandmother recovering meant that it was only a matter of time before she would have to go back to the city. However, she also knew that the memories of Willow Creek would always remain with her and so would her bizarre friendship with Ember. And so, she made a vow that she would go back to the village one day in order to see her grandmother and also her furry friend.
