Most of the famous anonymous hacker group are currently under custody. There is a hacker group called Anonymous, but there are many Facebook, twitter, youtube accounts that have deleted several small groups using their name. But they are just small hacker groups Not the old anonymous group. Sri Lanka status is used only to get publicity for them.
The video that they were supporting is an extremely childish video. If you watch a video of an old anonymous group you will realize the difference is sky to earth.
Then the government created the news that there was an attack on the websites including the police site. Just made fake news using the anonymous madness among people at this time and brought back anonymous save sri lanka to the stage.
#AnonymousSaveSriLanka is a paid project started by the government to change the focus of public protest. Now more than information on the internet, the only thing to see is the posts that say let's hit 5M. This is what the rulers want too. Then the real problems get suppressed So stop being deceived by projects that are done to shut down the nudity of the government.

There is nothing that can be hacked and nothing can be done if 100s of Sri Lankan government websites go down without even an SSL certificate.
Still we need to take a bunch of letters to about 3 government institutions to make our ID card. You have to go to the hospital where you were born to take birth, ATM card given by bank, to the branch where you created the account to renew your leg, you have to go to Jaffna to get the ATM card to renew your account. Even after seventy years, there is no system to read the microprocessor chip in the driver's license. All you have to do is reload and order a food properly by saying online. If I put an Uber to go on a trip somewhere, I should call and struggle because the location is not working properly. It's like this, there's something wrong with every system in Sri Lanka...

At least don't try to hit the hashtags like this without knowing what hacking is. Your social account gets spammed for millions of people but nothing else happens to Sri Lanka.
