Sri Veera Parakrama Narendrasingha Rajamaha Temple in Kundasale is the temple built by the last king of Sinhalese. This temple has various items and places to see and study. Among them, this chair is very important. Since ancient times, this is known as the secret chair. The reason for saying that is that three people have to sit in a circle instead of sitting in a row. Such a thing is rare. This chair has been known since the past as a suitable place to talk about something extremely secret.
When was this made?
During the time of the king, this was not something that was offered to the temple. Later, this was created by Reverend Medhankara Nayaka of Rambukwella. We have never seen anything like this in a book. Therefore, this is a unique piece of furniture and a beautiful design for the temple. If we sit down and look at this, it will become clear. While talking about something, the three faces of the three sitting on the chair come together. And the surroundings look good. That is why it is called the secret chair. You said it was a small museum. Sri Veera Parakrama Maha Raja Narendrasingha used Haguranketha, Kundasale and Medamanuwara as suburbs. Among them, most of the kings decided to stay in the Kundasale Palace because of the Mahaweli River. The king is a good Buddhist. This is his garden. The kings carved a statue of Buddha from this wood. It was plated with gold.
It was that statue that the king buried in the temple and worshiped. At first glance, the statue looks like it is made of copper and gold. That's why it started getting threats from thieves. Therefore, later on that statue, the king made this Avasa house and Pothgul temple and worshiped that statue. At the same time, many things such as idols, real caskets, relics, clothes, purses, clothes, books, dishes, weapons, bed, pallakki, sandbox, lamps were also offered as artefacts. The museum of this Pothgul temple has been created by collecting all those artefacts.

The temple is situated on the Kandy-Mahiyangana main road, after crossing the Kumbura bridge, turning right at Warapitiya junction and coming down one kilometer.
