In blurt it is the only platform where I have managed to have so much power, it has been like a dream come true hahaha...
and it is also the only place where you feel more sincerity when you enter the platform, therefore the intangibles here are usually more real compared to other platforms.
Wow, I hope I can also make my dream come true here in Blurt haha that all the time and creativity that I put in will bear fruit.

It's the same for me as well. I'm both astounded and humbled at how so many such as yourself were open to connecting with me despite the language and geographical differences.
I literally came here knowing that this economic system that allows us to help one another in ways normal economic systems don't allow is something I'm grateful for. Coupled with total respect for property rights and claims by no flag theft it was the edge that in my opinion is the downfall of the mother and sister chain.
Despite my handicap on arrival, my success here in my first year is the stuff movies are made of really. A testament to several things really.
Being oneself is the best way to proceed.
The good heart of so many members here willing to accept and cultivate relationships with people of such vast differences as I found upon arrival.
I foresee a day (as long as our governments don't ruin it) when Blurt will make many of us able to breathe from the every day problems scarcity forces us into.

So glad you made it here. The truther community is still small and growing here. But there are NO FLAGS and on the financial side there is a decent shot at making some real value here.
I really hated when you left the other place, but understood why. Many are now finding out about Blurt and migrating over.
Two days more until my 1 year here and I plan to do some similar break downs. I have not completed my taxes yet as I will not owe anything and I will not get a return either, since I live outside of the US I get an automatic extra 2 months. Procrastination is real.

This made me laugh. I've been the worst with this recently due to my move. I waited till the last day myself to do taxes and they gave us an extra couple of days. Partially because as I feared, I had to pay them 300.00 I didn't really have to spare.

Yeah there is a lot of extra work now with blurt and HIVE and with where things are sitting with HIVE now it doesnt even seem worth it. And all the extra tokens complicate it.
Yeah, I can't imagine keeping track of so many different tokens. I'm considering getting one of those crypto tax management software programs in a few months.

My dear practicalthought, I think that all of us who joined Blurt for some time have had profits, with Blurt I have been able to do things that I had not even thought of before, for example like having my pet operated on, solving my father's illness and in this time to cover my mother's illness, but in addition to the economic part, it has been a bridge to meet many people, whom I keep in my heart and even if they no longer write they will always be there because the good is not forgotten.
I am glad to know that you are well, but above all that you are doing very well. I hope life continues to smile at you.

It brings a smile to me that it has been life changing in allowing you to care for those close to you as it has.
In the last year I feel that we have had setbacks that have slowed down the development and above all the momentum to be in a better position. However, I am convinced that little by little new promoters and users will join us and make this a better social network and above all a better investment.
Yes, we have had many setbacks. I wonder in many of the cases if they were to some extent unavoidable.
Whenever there is a true freedom there will be some conflict as opposing views and desires rub against one another. Throw in some ego/personality traits and you have a lot of our setbacks.
Yet despite this, I see (as do you) that we are gaining new momentum daily in newcomers who long for a place to stake out their own spot of freedom and respect. I believe it is all growing quicker by the day.
I'm most recently surprised at how quickly the markets are adjusting to the recent exodus that saw much Blurt dumped into the markets.
Here is to a better year than last, one that I believe will see some life changing moves for many of us my friend.
That's a great return for a year! I love that BLURT attracts people who say how they feel without fear. It encompasses FREE SPEECH perfectly. I AM sure this year will be even better for all of us!
I believe Blurt is going to explode in value this year. I'm already watching so much growth in my time here as word spreads on the mother and sister chains that one has real free speech and respect of property rights here. The growth will be exponential and we are all early adopters who have the potential to make strong foundations here if we put in the investment.

I think I’ve made about 1,750 dollars from almost all posting and some of my hive. Thinking it’s already been double that could be 3250 or something dollars for 5 months consistent posting and curation.
That's awesome how far you've already come.
I made it a point not to count the 90k Blurt I started with and focus solely on the earnings themselves. While obviously that amount to start with influenced everything from curation rewards to vest increases, I wanted to show how much someone could make just from the earnings themselves.
The part that really gets my interest is when I create tables that show the value if it hits say .10 or .25 or .50 or even 1.00. I believe at my current trajectory I will hold easily over 500000 Blurt in stake by the end of the year. Just imagine if it was to hit even .50 at that time. That's a quarter million dollars. Enough to pay all my debts off and get a little land and live much simpler with leftover money.
everything I have on here I made on the platform but I have a little more in ionomy right now that I bought with hive and I also took a little out from here to trade so lets say 1,500 purely from posting at this current rate for 5 months ish. I have posted around 3 times every day though and curated pretty much every day apart form the week I was in hospital.
I could use the money really but determined to leave it in I am getting photography work roll back in now finally so hoping im good and can manage to not touch till I have a really decent amount as I do believe will go up in value.
I'm somewhat the same. I could REALLY use the money right now, but it seems like it would squander one of the few real opportunities I have to ever possibly get enough money to pay everything off and get a little land to be self sufficient almost entirely. One can't completely escape their tentacles, but one can minimize it much more than most of us have.
I hope for all of our sake it does what the potential suggests will happen.

I just checked again. It's the 70th day of our existence on the Blockchain and we really like how this place is growing. It's a gradual growth for the blockchain and people are reaping the fruit of their creativity.
Greater heights will be reached on the long run. The privilege to speak without fear of being knocked off the chain is an important feature of this place. More growth and development is on the way.
It's what makes us superior. I hear some grumble about the lack of tech and bells and whistles. Yet to simply have a place where I can say whatever I want and no one will censor me or have the ability to negate any stake reward allocations from those who agree and upvote is a pasture that has been elusive to those seeking it elsewhere.
As awareness grows that this exists here, Blurt will CONTINUE to flourish into something the other attempts simply couldn't.
I find it really easy to participate and it is relaxing community.
So important to feel relaxed in this type of environment. Makes it easier to make connections of value.
I was looking for a place to invest and earn coins in a positive way, in hive I had them but having them blocked for 13 weeks seems to me an exaggeration. The truth is that I had not looked at blurt, I entered in the fall and I fell in wonderfully, I have already made gains. I am also in a place where I can express myself freely, this is also a gain. The economic system employed here is beautiful. In my personal life I struggle with bills a lot. I saw the beauty years ago when I first found Steem. I saw a post from a young man in Africa giving his thanks. He had a picture of some new shoes he had bought, and of him and two friends eating at a restaurant.
His life before Steem one didn't own new shoes and one didn't eat at a restaurant. It opened my eyes how I could be a blessing for another in ways not possible for me in my countries economy.
Blurt perfected this in not allowing any other with stake to interject themselves between myself and the recipient and take my gesture away with a downvote.

I imagine... The same thing happened to me when I got to Steem, to see how money could be acquired thanks to the publications, despite the fact that when I got to Steem it didn't go very well for me.
I am a single mother, I am from Venezuela, it is hard to be unemployed, that the salary here is worth nothing a month equivalent to less than $20, that is spent in a single market.
I have been working to find economic stability, I help my mother get ahead because after my father died she is with me. Medicines here in my country are hypertensive, food is too expensive. Blurt also helped me get ahead, I have had good people on my way, despite not having time either I am managing to accumulate power.
Since I try to only liquidate it, I use it for expenses. I want to grow up to ensure a future for my daughter for my mother, me. At the same time being able to help others will be on the way when I start. Being that friendly hand that helps you, guides you..

Although I started here in the early days, I ended up losing interest and going away for a while during that period where the front ends were often down, and one day I returned and it was working again, but all my images were gone... now that it seems like things have settled down a bit again, I'm going to find more time for Blurt.
Like you, I do report my crypto for tax purposes; I'd rather have a "good faith attempt" on the books than be busted for outright evasion. I don't consider that an endorsement of taxes, but rather an endorsement of self-preservation in terms of protecting my assets.
Just hoping this will turn into a nice little "savings plan," over time... the whole crypto-blogging scene was always a long-term proposition for me.
I am doing the same. I figure if blurt hits $1 it will be very hard to hide $1,000,000 of earnings. I would rather have the good faith attempt also. As an expat I also do not pay tax on the first 100k of earnings. Capital gains is another story though, but there are strategies for that. Like a gift to my non-citizen wife, or setting up a charitable trust. But those are only good options if I disclosed it for taxes in the first place.
Exactly. I'm astounded at how many otherwise really smart people don't see the folly in potentially making large sums of money using a process that is a permanent record and believe they are going to keep it all some big secret, lol.
Selective cognitive blindness is a strange bird... the whole "taxation is theft" crowd seems to have latched onto the idea of cryptos being "anonymous" and "protecting privacy" while also being staunch defenders of the "immutability" of blockchains...

And you know damn well that the IRS (and other taxing authorities) already have a task force of developers creating code that tracks, sorts, collates and creates associations between every (at least major) blockchain transaction and external sources.
Yes, I imagine they know many wallet holders identity and just haven't acted on it. It's not unusual for law enforcement to ignore criminal structures for years as they use that knowledge to ferret out other information they wouldn't get if they revealed their current knowledge.
Just better to play it safe. If Blurt for example does what I suspect, I should still do well after their cut on both the front (income) and back (capital gains) ends of this deal.

Absolutely we cannot exist on any of these platforms with fakeness, our thoughts our values our beliefs reflects in our writing, and fakeness will sooner or later come out. You have made a commendable growth, heartiest Congratulations on that and I wish you loads of power.
I have a 5 to 6 years vision for Blurt and till such time I am only going to keep staking my Blurt. Like you, I too believe that yes now it is .002 but when this will go .01 and 1, that is the time the real value of all the efforts put in will show up. I really feel that this year will see phenomenal growth and expect us to probably be at least valued at .25 by the end of the year.
The one missing ingredient from my post was one has to actively seek others that one can appreciate (once again not faking it) and build ties to them. Even if the appreciation in some cases is one way. If one leaves heartfelt comments on those posts there are good odds someone else also appreciates those posts and might appreciate you too even if the person you curated doesn't.

Absolutely and I also believe that we all have our highs and lows and not everyday will be same so it is ok to be yourself and with whatever you are. One thing is for sure, there is no stand alone here. If we want this to success everyone has to be in it together.

Blurt is really good. You have gained a huge benefits from blurt. I have published my introduction post after two years of creating my account. Because I didn't believe in blockchains. But now my eyes have opened and I'm determined to work here regularly.
The second best time to do something that was/is beneficial to be doing is right now. :)
I wish you luck in building your connections and hopefully you will be able to hold onto and stake up what you receive so that with each day your holdings grow on themselves.

It's awesome that you've made friends with and are able to communicate with people of different languages! I had one experience with that before, a very thoughtful man from Brazil @jlufer. He always put in the effort, which encouraged me to do so in turn. I love watching the videos he makes with his granddaughter, especially since I'm learning Spanish. (Though I'd have an easier time if he spoke a little slower, haha!)
Those who speak their mind are generally my favorite people, even when it's a little harsh. I'd much rather know where I stand then be given pretty words that I'm not sure are genuine:)

I'm glad you're here. I enjoy your blog very much. You have an interesting writing style, and as one who has self published (drivel really) I wonder how well you would do in it. I realized as a child that one of the main qualities Steven King had was his ability to talk about human quirks that are rarely if ever discussed yet most all know. His descriptive ability in those paintings he would make with words would transport the reader creating a sense of kinship, as though the two of you were partners in the experience. Your sharing has that same feel to it.
You're definitely right about those who use it as an excuse to be dicks, that's a different matter all together. I'm referring to blunt people who can't help but just be honest about their feelings, who don't have great filters haha.

Anyway, he wanted to know about how the fees work, if they get distributed back to the reward pool, or curation, or to the pockets of witnesses? My understanding is the fees are going to the foundation at the moment and helps them pay for developers and such. I was told recently though that there is discussion taking place that would allow it to be voted on for projects. I'm not sure I like that given how many projects were funded at Hive that produced nothing but a large outflow into the wealthier stakeholders pockets for doing little to nothing.
