My apologies on two things here. First, my tone will have an edge. It isn't pointed at you my friend. Dredging all of this back up and the little bit of research I've done that barely skims the many things I could drag up has stirred up the emotional sickness I felt as I watched all of this build up over so many months.
I also apologize for the length of the reply. I do so despite not having the time because it's important for me to have you see what I saw, some of which took place during your absence. I didn't imagine things to arrive at the conclusions I have. While there may have been some admirable reasons behind the anti-VTS movement, it over time became a sickness that was creating hard lines in the sand that sought to make enemies of those who would not be part of that mob. I'll demonstrate a small part of it but apologize i have no time to devote to this that could be done.

Yes, they do. Part of it is due to actions that took place during your absence. Much of it very subtle but when looked at cumulatively over time became for those of us not sucked into the gestalt being created disturbing.
Your view of double-u as someone who has only his own interests in mind, I see quite differently. I have rarely met someone with such a big (unfortunately now bitter) heart.
My initial take on double-u was indeed one who has a big heart. However, I grew to understand that he thinks in hard black and white without considering the grey areas. I'll return to that momentarily.
I also grew to see that when he grows angry his ability to empathize not only disappears, but he lacks self control and is quick to describe the object of his displeasure with the nastiest pejoratives that seek to paint a picture of one who isn't human. Using terms such as creature, liar etc. One can see clearly over the last several weeks he is incapable of holding a conversation over difference of opinion without resorting mostly to ad hominem as his go to. He is his own worst enemy. I'll be returning to this as well momentarily.
Back to the subtle push in the pub that grew not to be as subtle yet still was.
I watched over time as he continued to push against the VTS system, deciding that the best course forward was to shun those using them. Starting off with trying to get them banned. before I move on with this subtle non stop shift I need to address something you've mentioned in previous conversations we've had on this.
You point out that it was more about the VTS gaining power because I've continued to say it has been hypocritical of double-u to be against them and then self vote himself 2k-6k weekly. Yet in the pub it was mostly presented to be wrong for a user to self enrich themselves using it and not something more nefarious as you hold to be why they should be opposed. If users on our "social media platform with the possibility of earning money" hire one or more VTS, we feel this is anti-social and selfish.
Here is an example:
User A has invested a lot of money in our system here and can regularly please User B with votes on his posts with a value of 200 blurt.
User B also has so much Blurt power that he could vote User A's posts, which he always likes, with a value of 100 Blurt.
But now User B has delegated almost all of his blurt power to a VTS. Therefore, he can only give user A a vote with a value of 0.3 blurt. However, he receives strong votes on his posts from the VTS to which he has delegated his blurt power.
We feel that this is antisocial and selfish. If many users do this in this way, and this trend is unfortunately emerging, the social and the togetherness goes broken.
If I acted like that, my pub wouldn't exist. Then many users would not have come to Blurt, who came because they have a place to go and connections in my pub. Without my site, more users would have left Blurt when Blurt was in trouble.
So now you know our opinion. It's the users who use VTS that we don't like.

Another example of him jamming up someone coming to the pub about whether they stopped using VTS. I'll also posit that this person is someone who is well liked and respected across multiple blockchains so I'm not sure who the WE are that dislikes this person with double-u, until he dropped the VTS usage and suddenly became likable again.

In this post he is trying to encourage others to put his mark on their profile and push their followers to do the same. This came across to me as a cult leader sending his converts out to find more converts.
I don't have time to find the many many many comments that were left in his pub over many months. Ranging from semi to outright nasty sentiment towards users of VTS. So yes, when you ask was there somewhat of an effort to dehumanize and castigate VTS users, there certainly was by the leader. And he spoke freely for all of you as you can see again below.

Along with these comments, I also saw several where he began referring to megadrive in less than polite terms. The one that stood out to me was several times after megadrive stopped trying to accommodate him was referring to him as a dictator. Or saying blurt was a one man show (also a subtle dig at megadrive).
My apologies I don't have time to find much of this and then go to the trouble of translating them to provide. I trust we are close enough that you will believe me that I read these things.
It took many months of reading these subtle messages that in some cases stopped being so subtle for me to decide that participating in the pub was no longer healthy or fun. It took on a feeling of a cult to me where one was to adopt the mindset and ways or one was no longer liked nor welcomed. One was encouraged to go spread the word and create converts to let folks know if they too wanted to be liked they would also take the mark upon their profile as well.
Ironically in the bid to find a middle ground with double-u and the pub megadrive and tekraze implemented making the profile picture bigger so he could hover over the name and see if the mark was there.
I saw much effort to compromise by megadrive and by extension tekraze. It was never enough. There was always a new demand until the word no was said firmly.
In regards to the mark and it being my final straw, you can read my feelings on this in the latter half of this post where I stated with stronger language than I normally use that I would in no way adopt such a mark and anyone who felt the need to shun me could go F themselves.
Ironically the first half of that post was calling out a shortcoming of the Foundation which I did several times despite those who are pissed I wouldn't jump on their anti foundation bandwagons claiming I'm some kind of yes man for them.
Now onto the drone post. I've said many times it was over the top. I believe I was the first person to post against it.
You and many others seem to think this was where everything started.
It wasn't.
It started many months earlier in that pub with a push to form a large mob and let a segment of Blurt users know they weren't liked and were selfish. It started with growing attacks on the foundation and megadrive.
The drone post was where it finally came to a head and megadrive finally acted on what must have been a very very VERY frustrating several months as he watched himself being denigrated as well as a segment of Blurt users.
For those of us who refused to join the anti mega anti VTS mob it was so very clear that was not when this all started.
The emotions for those not in that pub mindset as structured by double-u had already been long ago been planted and cultivated. Emotions that one was not to be liked nor supported unless one became like the Borg and adopted the mindset and accompanying mark.
I need to move on now as this is already the length of a post.
I want to mention now your question on a user who was very nasty to several of you including elkezaksek.
I even defended against what I still consider to be a ridiculous notion that there was n any way a vote circle gang taking place.
I saw some despicable things taking place by not one but two folks during the final meltdown.
I would ask that the person(s) who made those comments be held liable for their comments and not megadrive. I have no direct proof that megadrive was involved in their decision to be so crude. I'll return to this momentarily.
The person(s) who made the comments they made were in effect painting a picture of themselves. If you go back through my comment history you will see that I've openly spoken against both of the folks involved in a myriad of reasons.
I believe it was clear to many reading their over the top proclamations and bad vices they were exuding they were being assholes who were spinning at times webs of lies. it was a reflection on them, not on any of you.
Just as the bad vibes coming from the pub were a reflection on double-u.because he spoke them. To clarify, I know you are anti-VTS. Yet I never held the most outlandish things double-u was saying as anything you were responsible for. Because you weren't saying it, he was.
I'm returning now to something I felt was important as I said I would.

I disagree with him from time to time, which is only natural.
I've watched many times now where he has sought to find a middle ground and sometimes despite some very strong attacking language used against him.
I've watched him walk himself back from many strong positions he holds several times after he has considered what was best for Blurt, not what was best for his own views.
I rarely see him ever get credit for any of this. It's a shame that so many are unwilling to let go of anything he has done they consider bad yet I rarely see any acknowledgment of the many times he has paused and self reflected on a position and changed course. Refuse to acknowledge the many efforts he made to try to find middle ground with one who refused to accept that as the final compromise and always wanted more and stirred up passions when the answer was no.
So, that was the last time I wrote to you about the old stories, because I don't want that because of the different views our friendship suffers. Maybe you can do something with it, maybe not.
I can't see this difference in view ever coming between us, although I hope that you can see what I've seen through the lengthy yet barely touching the surface subtle and not so subtle structure I saw develop over many months. I believe our friendship is based on not allowing such things to come between us. I remember one of our first encounters that I believe solidified the respect between us was your disagreement of something I had written, lol. I've never sought to surround myself by yes people, preferring to have real engagement yet one that allows for dignity even if there is a disagreement. One does not suddenly become a liar or a psychopath or not liked or a creature etc just because one disagrees with them.
Yes, it is sad what is going on in the world. Here in D, for example, you can see higher electricity prices every week, money is becoming worth less and less. I'm afraid there will be a lot more to come and in an order of magnitude we can't imagine yet - or don't want to.
There are very dark clouds rushing in fast. Everything is going up here and in some cases hard to get. The armed agents they are hiring will be implementing the WEF desire that the year will be 2030 and we will own nothing.
I hope that you will be able to make it through the boiling pot they are turning the heat up on. The most immediate concern will be ones neighbors who suddenly find themselves sinking into the boiling water. Desperate people do desperate things to weaker innocent people next to them.
