Labeling someone with this reputation number is the most absurd thing. That number rises in many different ways and I would not want to discuss on that part. There are clans that operate and both on Hive and Steem it exists. I have kept one rule for my work "Mind my own business". I have build up some very good connections with some people here, and I happy to interact with these few who share common interests.
There are some genius people on these platforms but sadly they do not have a God father or God Mother to look after them.
Wish you all the best for your new job.

It's been a year since I've been on the Hamster wheel, although it's true I miss some days, waking up at home, feeling the love of my daughters every morning is a blessing. At this time, despite my health issues, I must make difficult decisions, return to the wheel? emigrate from the country? I still don't know for sure, but there are decisions that only we must make. I hope that things go as well as possible and that all this will serve to gain peace of mind and stability.

Esperemos que sea temporal para muchos de nosotros y que Blurt nos abra las puertas para escapar de estas formas de sacrificio a las que nos vemos empujados.

Tengo curiosidad, ¿a dónde emigrarías?

Hopefully it will be temporary for many of us and Blurt will open doors to escape these forms of sacrifice we find ourselves being pushed into.

I'm curious, where would you emigrate to?

I wish you the best, I hope you get a job soon that doesn't demand so much from you. Do what you have to do, I will miss you but your well being comes first.

Your presence and the space you create will be missed and felt. Hope all works out for you the way you plan.

How can you boil the essence of a man into a number - yet this is exactly what we have submitted to, from birth to death - children taught that their value and worth resides in the end of term calculations attributed to their name. Onward's equating virtue with the size of bank accounts. Whats a sad state of affairs.

One extreme example I saw of this were the vast amount of folks who were willing to overlook the obnoxious behavior of the Bernie account. They hawked his posts for any scrap he would toss to them.

I remember that he would create posts with a single swear word,or a filled toilet bowl -and still people would flock to him and upvote his every comment. The macrocosm in the microcosm of the blockchain.

I hope your job goes as well as possible -and that you're able to last as long as you need to. Hopefully #blurt will take off - and the need for such work will soon be in your rear view mirror. :)

I spent a lot of time on Blurt for 1.5 years. Since the big fight here I don't have much desire anymore. I have reduced my blockchain activities to a minimum. I have way too much to do anyway and too little time for my family and friends. Before I sit in front of the PC for hours, I'd rather meet up with my girlfriend or sit in the garden with a glass of wine and let my mind wander....
Soon there will be new stories from Uganda...
I wish you all the best and hope you find a less stressful job soon.
Don't put yourself under blockchain duress, better rest after work.
Sit in the garden with a glass of wine.......

Good advice! I like your advice ma'am

Sincerely I love the statement of yours.

Your actions do make a difference and, for many like myself, are small blessings in a world all to often filled with thorns.

Thank you. :)

I appreciate your taking the time to read and share that with me.

I was in the same situation with physical fitness but last 2 years if that makes you feel any better. Just be a shameless errand boy and hand them tools if nothing else and youll earn your place on the team.

Mine is more of a unload pallets and place them on shelves and here is your unrealistic quota we think it should be done with.

Coupled with the affects of age and poor health choices and an insanely long shift and it adds up to this needs to last just long enough for me to get certain things done and move on, lol.

I don't see myself getting much healthier due to age and so many bad choices, coupled with genetics that seem to indicate most in my immediate family die within 10 years or so of my current age.

So it seems to me the trick is I need to find some much smarter ways to hasten what much more intelligent and focused folks usually have structured well before they hit my age. One of the drawbacks for disliking authority and such and being self employed much of my life. I should have had more drive when I was younger. But my more ignorant younger self didn't realize certain structures that made self employment easier change a lot, sometimes very quickly.

Thanks for the kind thoughts. :)

Never say that! I’ve seen ppl make dramatic shifts in rheIr 70 s an older there is never a better time than now. Some weight lifting / yoga / plant based diet

I am probably the least tactical blogger on here which, is why I’m not a blurtonaire hahah I upvote what I like, comment on poor peoples posts all day long and edit my spelling errors up to 5 times paying every time lol 😅 but my soul is rich 😂

And here here it’s wei r we are all in alignment as I was only thinking This today, blurt might be small but the users really care. We rly want to protect this place and evolve it because it means more to us than simply a blog or a way to make money. It defends our right to freedom.

I think you'll do well here. Your conduct will ensure that. I think it's wise to not allow size of wallet to influence ones curation and interactions.

We will all grow together and by staying true to what appeals to you, you ensure you are nourishing what you would see more of and over time those accounts will grow into thriving rich areas within the community.

I believe we will see the place of velocity take over once there are many long comment threads on posts, with the comments being rewarded and encouraged.

Excellent post matey, and yeah @samstonehill is a cool dude . (for a hippy).
(Anyone that get's their kids on the roof to do some re-tiling work , gets my vote ! lol)

The reputation thing is more akin to social engineering.
As you say- you don't need 'a consensus of opinion', to form your own judgments - that's for the sheep.

Good luck on the new job, mate ! - 'Fake it till at least you get your wage slip', as they say...
....And don't let little things like employment get in the way of posting! lol
Good luck.

It's like a bit of a bromance going on here, nice love letter. I will miss you and your sane posts in an insane world. Don't work hard. I mean it. Do the bare minimum, take the money and run. Life's too short for shit jobs.

Hahahaha, I wondered if I would get this comment from someone, no surprise it was you lol. I saw his current plight over stolen property as a good doorway into this topic. The way he and his family live are amazing, and his conduct one of peace in ways I wish I had within me to walk in.

Don't work hard. I mean it. Do the bare minimum, take the money and run. Life's too short for shit jobs.

I wish I could, but i have to fake it long enough to keep my bills from falling behind, and while I get all the stupid paperwork done foe my license and tags. I definitely need to regroup after I'm settled in to make sure this doesn't happen again. I'm to damn old for it.

I decided I'd had enough of the treadmill by age 50. Call it mid-life crisis if you will but I sold my house and left my very own business of 2 years to go live on a boat. Best thing I ever did. I still worked but for myself doing many and varied jobs on the boats. Spent 5 years 'messing about on boats' before moving to my house in Ireland which was also bought from sale of the other house after all the debts were paid off.

Great thought as always !
It was Socrates, an Athenian moral philosopher who cautioned “ man know thy self” most. Thinkers were inclined to have construed it from a banal perspective . A few more perceived it as a quick call for knowledge of self as the basis for understanding of the human person ; a possible mastery of the self to help develop oneself and the society at large !
It is sad that most people wanna play “ safe” so that they can always gain benefits from others regardless of whatever . Such persons would never be objective in their views . These are those I refer to as “cowards” we have them everywhere. We have them on chains , always wanting to stay safe for their selfish reasons.
Let me suggest to those who do so to have a rethink .
I prefer that one should be objective , even if you gonna lose certain attached benefits! That for me is how to create your identity and have self worth .
Once again thanks for making time to be with us here .
Wish you the best as you start your new job . I am sure ‘WE’ all understand with you even if we don’t see you as often as before . Six weeks isn’t too long a time not to understand with you .
Cheers
