Generosity is the most beautiful of the human being, which we must make grow every day.

One of the spectacular dynamics of the pub was the great generosity that took place there, not only from the host, but from many of the people who attended.

In the Pub we were able to observe how generosity was present, not only in terms of money but also of knowledge, generosity in terms of knowledge and time is the most valuable thing we can get from people, not only did we see this from the manager of the PUB, but from each one of the participants that we made life in.

Today Sunday we are here from our homes in front of the screen longing for that PUB, for that special place that we had to share, learn, even to find our partner and there was a prize, which I think there was a relationship that took place here. ..

Thank you for including me among the beneficiaries, for these beautiful words that I read today. This is a beautiful initiative that you are giving today and during this week, making a thank you post to whom honor deserves, both the manager of the place and its participants...

My greatest wishes is that the #PUB returns every Sunday, with its personal manager, because its brand will not be filled by anyone, one and thousands more can be created, but the #PUB is not just a virtual place that can be created and that's it. , the Sunday #PUB was more than a second home, where many of us shared, laughed, had a good time, but now Sundays won't be the same...

Blessings, health, prosperity and love are my beautiful wishes for @double-u, that our God guides his path and gives me wisdom, that beautiful heart always leads us all, that from time to time he passes through this place even if it is greet us...

Double u is really generous by using the pub to appreciate our comments on this platform! That's truly commendable. I pray that God will bless him both now and forevermore, Amen!

Thank you for sharing what the pub meant for you.

because its brand will not be filled by anyone, one and thousands more can be created, but the #PUB is not just a virtual place that can be created and that's it.

I agree, and sadly I don't think those saying there will be more pubs understand this.

I appreciate your sharing so vividly the connection you felt in the pub.

Thank you for bringing this beautiful writing, a great dedication of thanks. The great meaning of #PUB every Sunday.

One of the most beautiful, no, the most touching posts I have ever read. And I have read a lot.

I was the same way, I discovered the pub very early, I liked the interaction and became a regular, that was more than 3 years ago now. Somewhere I once wrote to a user I invited to the pub, if it's not the end of the world, I'm there too. I think that expresses how much the pub meant to me.

It was a pleasure and I am grateful that I was able to be part of it. With this feeling I close the chapter, because as you wrote, everything has its time and everything comes to an end.

Thank you for your kind words.

I appreciate the day I followed you into the pub.

As well as the friendship that developed between us. I've mentioned before I don't really do the whole friends thing, can count them for my entire life on two hands and have fingers left.

I'm hopeful that you will still come around from time to time. But that is part of the human condition, longing for things beyond our control. If it just isn't meant for you to come back and our paths part for good here, thank you for surprising me and being someone I would call friend. And know I'll always be grateful to have traveled for awhile with you here at Blurt.

I fear times are going to be getting darker for all of us as the leaders of countries continue marching us into madness. I hope you and yours will be able to navigate through these dark times and be as good as one can be in them.

It sucks saying goodbye if this is to be it. One never feels the words adequate to convey both the thankfulness and loss one feels.

I'm honored to know you perhaps is the closest although it falls short as well.

Though I did not discover the pub early but the little time I spent on blurt was lit and I am grateful for the generosity of the founder of blurt!

Perhaps, I'd be able to take out some time to write a post, thus fulfilling your idea of a chain post about the pub and all of its goodness. I still remember my first visit to the pub and how welcoming it was with @double-u and @elkezaksek's welcome.

I also remember double-u assisting make a comment on my BlurtBooks project in one of how weekly Sunday pub's post. In as much as I couldn't be frequent due to work, I still respect your achievements with the pub

Thank you for creating a welcoming environment that helped bond us together. Have a good one.

I am writing a final Year project on student information system and I will like to let my blurt family know about this! The resources are much but God has been sustaining me all along!

If you wish to collaborate with me on GitHub you can. I need great minds to share ideas with! Or if you wish to support my project you're free to do that and I will most appreciate that! Thanks for supporting me!!

The pub made me happy, i always anticipated for it every week. My growth on Blurt within few months would not have been possible without the pub. The pub gave me the best gift ever. @double-u , I will never forget the good things you have done for me. Thanks and God bless you.
I will miss you
I will miss the pub

Thank you for including me as one of the beneficiaries of this post. I always enjoy each of your posts filled with new things and unexpected things.

I've also made a post about how important Pubs mean to me. Pub: Like the Coffee Shop I Always Miss

Thank you. This was exactly what I had in mind once I made it through your coffee shop introduction. Which you explained very well as to why you began with that.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. The idea suddenly popped into my head while I was at the coffee shop this afternoon. The friendliness of the manager and the friendly smiles of the people in the coffee shop, even though I didn't know them all, immediately took my mind to double-u and his friends at the Pub, with people who came from nowhere.

  ·  3 years ago  ·   (edited)

Actually to be sincere, the Pub has helped newbies alot! It makes them feel that they're not alone on this platform! Comments are voted, we meet new people in the Pub.

Like what @practicalthought said;

I wish to thank Double-u for his vision and kind heart for creating this and being such a good host to make it work as it did. I wish to give thanks to the German community who made sure to make those of us not German feel welcome there. Inviting us to create and strengthen bonds with you as this pub grew to be an international pub.

It is truly commendable for what @double-u did for all of us by using the pub. Atleast every Sunday, we hoped to meet new friends and learn new things from the pub!

Regarding to the"Single Meeting Point" of the Pub, I actually found love from there but it has not metamorphosed to real love because we've not seen real life yet but will see each other very soon! Double u made a great impact in our lives by just using the pub.

Thanks so much double u for what you've done for us all in the pub. I wish the pub to be open very soon so that I can meet new friends and learn new things on weekly basis!

#german

Thank you for sharing the impact the pub had on you. Best of luck with your possible romance blossoming when you connect in the physical world.

Yeah will really like to connect with you in real life

Thank you very sincerely!

I guess you can imagine that this post means especially much to me.
Since it was written by you.
And we sometimes had conflicts with each other.
I have tears in my eyes right now.
I wish you a long, healthy and happy life.
Bye!

The Pub was complex for me when I visited it for the first time because the internet I had at that time was extremely slow, so I read the comments and when I managed to write mine and refresh the screen, there were many new messages that arrived at that time and I got lost and had to start reading again to be able to understand the sequence, hahaha.... then I adapted. It was very nice the time I was able to be there, thank you @double-u for the time the PUB lasted.

at that time and I got lost and had to start reading again to be able to understand the sequence, hahaha.... then I adapted.

Hahahaha, I appreciate this very much. I gave up on following things close in real time and blamed it on my age and being tech challenged. Glad to see I wasn't the only one. Sometimes I would cheat and hawk the reply tab on double-u profile in a separate tab while I followed down certain comment strings in my main open tab. That way I would be alerted when new comments and strings were being added.

Thank you for reading this and leaving words of thanks for this wonderful place that we all had to come together once a week and interact with others we normally wouldn't. I think that last sentiment is part of its magic too. My interests often don't align with others who are gamers, or tech interests and so on. The pub allowed us to see other facets of our neighbors here that wasn't present in the posts each were making. Giving us a more intimate look and understanding into others here we would never gain from their specific topic themed posts.

Posted from https://blurtlatam.com

lol yeah you weren't the only one to experience that. Then I got used to it.

Happy afternoon.

Thank you!❤️

It seems, I really missed out on this pub. I can't imagine everyone missing and talking about pub about this time I never knew it was this interesting and alot of people enjoyed it... I can't wait to participate fully when it's finally back hopefully next Sunday, it's my earnest heartfelt.@double-u

I can't wait to participate fully when it's finally back hopefully next Sunday

There is to be no more of the original pub, which is why I would like to see those who did get to enjoy it give thanks. While the creator of it and those foundational folks who helped double-u shape it into what it became are still here with us as they power down to leave. I think it a fitting gesture to make so they know it wasn't all in vain and there was a love that was grown here in the soil and cultivating they placed much of their energy and heart into.

I'm sorry you never got to experience it directly, and if you ever have time I urge you to go back to some of the earlier posts made there and see the many connections that you will likely never see again on a social blockchain.

Thank you for reading and commenting.

Feeling extremely bad at the moment cause, when I got introduced to this platform I can remember I did my introduction post on a Sunday after which I was ask to wait patiently and comment on post from @double-u but I didn't just understand what it was but I did as I was instructed when it's 8:00pm by my time. Up until this time I never knew the pub has such a great influence. Considering the some few factors can we just swallow the bitter and let go... We can feel how quite and dull the platform has become even though I never used to be part of the pub but I plead for reconsideration, a plead of a son to a father. Blurt has been so impactful with you all @practicalthought thank you.

  ·  3 years ago  ·   (edited)

For me the pub was the place to check out what was going on this place. It was also a place get to know what was going on without having to be on discord. By the time I dropped in it was usually Monday afternoon and the comments were so full I had no strength on my cell phone to load them. I tried for a year to hop in the pub at the right time, but it was always early Monday morning for me. Just a few weeks ago I finally got into the habit of checking the pub as soon as I get up Monday morning. I saw people interested in organically supporting the community and liked the idea. This community was a big part of Blurt and I was more than curious. Maybe it's time to move on now but once again practical thought reminds us of the importance of the spirit of Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for the host of the pub. I've tried hosting something similar and it took a lot of my energy. Yet the pub was a lot bigger than anything I ever hosted. It looked a lot of fun and was informative both socially and technically. I appreciate the members efforts to onboard and support new users on Blurt. I appreciate those who helped me personally. You were like my big brothers and sisters. The Block chain continues but never forgets the times at the pub.

Thank you

So,so,we were like your big brothers and sisters.

You were one of the people who upvoted @megadrive's post about sanctioning @double-u and his supporters.
100%- upvote was worth it to you!

You are not the only one and I can do without the tributes from some people who all kept their mouths shut when it was important to speak up.

  ·  3 years ago  ·   (edited)

I can also say there are people that kept their mouths shut about abuses and dehumanization that happened in the pub. The pub was well executed and was a great community project, however when something so big starts to be weaponised against users of differing viewpoints it becomes a problem. It is much better if a pub tag like #blurtpub is used and many pub hosts have the opportunity to host one.

Cc: @mineopoly

Hello.

I understand you were tagged, which brought you here to respond. I would like to ask you to edit/delete this comment you replied with. I had hoped and asked in the body that this post be focused on thankfulness as a gesture to those leaving. I'm hopeful that healing (to the extent it can be attained) for all involved can be aided by remembering the many good things the pub was and not let the battleground that sprang up define it, at least here in the spirit of this post.

I would be thankful for any consideration that you would give to my request.

I can respect your wishes if the comment that I was tagged on is removed first, let me know when the author of it has done so and I will come back and remove/edit mine accordingly. I’m ready to move on but I keep being dragged in as you see above.

"With great power comes great responsibility."

Why does someone always die when I hear that on Spiderman movies? The last one is "No way home". Peter wanted the killing to stop... but the only way was for him to become nobody. I still have a lot to learn, but my spidy senses say this isn't over yet.

i agree with you maybe the #blurtpub tag is better. @megadrive I think you dare to come anywhere to respond to something. Not everyone can do that. I see here just a lot of the same talk over and over again.

There is a saying:

Every time there are people

Everyone has their time

Hello. I was hopeful you would do me a favor and delete/edit this comment.

I had asked in the post that none of the grievances that led to this be aired here. I did so as I wish for this to be a moment of appreciation primarily for double-u, and secondarily for those of you who came to become foundations in the vision of the pub that double-u had. Thirdly for all those who will miss the pub and feel a hole has been left never to be made whole again.

I had hoped (and still hope for) that this could be a parting gesture of thankfulness. A respite if you would of the hostilities. Where those of a mind could voice their appreciation and gratefulness for the many things the pub was to them, to showcase if you would the many ways it touched those of us here.

The pub is and was so much more than this battleground. I thought it would be nice for there to be a parting for those leaving especially to understand the impact they have had on so many here. To they will understand it wasn't all a waste of time. That real connections were built with others in a unique way that has not and likely will not be duplicated.

I would appreciate so much if we could let this spirit of thankfulness be untarnished here by grievances and hurt. There is plenty of other places here where that spirit has reigned unfettered, and if one is of a mind one could always create a new post to discuss them.

I would appreciate any consideration you would give to my request.

Dear Jason, you really wrote a beautiful post and I am sorry that I am disturbing the perfect world now....
I've been reading a lot of posts and comments about pub in the last week.
Now that everything is destroyed and a big part of the German community is leaving, we are praised how great we all are.
There are some people who always stood by us and fought for the pub all the time.
Some were not often in @double-u 's pub and still felt the sense of community, the help and also the fun.
There are some really strong characters there.
But there are also people who thought it was great to hit the rich whale and his gang and now regret so much that this wonderful place no longer exists.

But you know all that from analog life....

Monday morning already,

I checked to see if I was beside myself. I'm not beside myself. I usually vote 100% on posts and 25% on comments. The reason that post got a vote was because it stated that megadrive was not buying drones in the name of Blurt. I totally supported that move. The rest of the post was strong and defensive. It reminded me of something I saw on Steemit a couple years ago and I really had no comment. I'm not going to remove my witness vote from anyone that is working hard. I would prefer we work together. I like platforms like Blurt because I can hear both sides even when I don't agree. As for the upvote for Megadrive I really did agree that he didn't buy war drones in Blurt's name. It is very ironic that efforts for peace seem to have ripped apart a community I thought could be a model of forgiveness.

It's not about the drone post.
It's about the sanctioning post....

https://blurt.blog/blurt/@megadrive/firing-my-first-salvo-of-sanctions-against-double-u-and-his-supporters

(and I think you know exactly what I meant....)

Sanction post was made only because I was attacked first in public and huge FUD and panic created, no one was panicking over the drone post prior to your group making the noise. Don't attack someone in public and then be up in arms when that person doesn't throw you sweeties anymore.

Dear Riccardo, I often felt that we were talking past each other.
This is probably because we have different goals and ideals.
I am only on the blockchaines because it helps me to make our Uganda project known and to raise funds.
For example, it would not have been possible for us in 2020 to buy food for the people there for 6 months during the lockdown.
We also would not have been able to pay for the water tanks, solar panels, school fees and medical bills without Crypto.

I don't deal with the crypto market very much.
I keep missing out on any good opportunities or airdrops.
So your sweeties are not what I am about.

I'm all about freedom.
If you as a co-founder make a post where you punish, then the boss punishes his "subordinates". I don't think that's very wise.
And I think freedom of expression is restricted when you want me to dictate what I should write in my profile.

I have also always thought that the witnesses are chosen by the community.
I guess I've always misunderstood that....
I guess it's that certain people are pushed and others are not.
That means then again that you do not allow other opinions at all, but everything is regulated in your sense.
There is then again the freedom of opinion and the discussion with dissenters is then less and less.
For me, that is then not really decentralized, but maybe I have also misunderstood....

I am not interested in disputes, but in honesty and trust.

Because of Uganda, I stay on Blurt,
but my Good Vibes....they are gone.....

I agree I am not interested in disputes either, I have never been one to start anything but I keep having my name mentioned and then am compelled to respond.

Regarding the airdrop, that is entirely my side project and I have the right to sculpt the airdrop in a manner of my choosing, that is nothing to do with Blurt or decentralisation, it's basically handing our coupons to my house party, no one has any particular right to receive them.

Decentralisation is actually a myth, distributed networking is probably the best term, blockchains are hard to stop because of the distributed nature where the ledger is operated by individuals or entities across the globe, however there are centralised points such as exchanges and even the individuals themselves, if governments were to say issue a law where node operators would be jailed then the operators become the point of failure, they may not choose to continue, exchanges can also be told not to support certain cryptos leaving fiat on/off ramps very difficult and could starve a project.

Blurt was created in a semi-centralised manner to protect against take over from hostile forces, even the Zero-Tier VPN solution over the Xmas attack was a centralised protection method that allowed the vpn operator to shield in place a certain witness set.

The idea was the foundation would oversee Blurt for at least two years and the takeover protections would allow it the ability to do so without hostile takeovers looming to set back Blurt, so no it was never created as decentralised to start, the regen account loses power in July and slowly we had aimed to reduce witness votes in the top active set as we see the environment become decentralised.

That means then again that you do not allow other opinions at all, but everything is regulated in your sense.

Opinions are certainly allowed however, don't expect to get rewarded from me if you trash me in public or create unnecessary drama and panic.

I also don't feel that having one whale operating a pub is decentralised, because of such large voting power people's opinions can be swayed to his own because they want the votes right, so they will agree with anything or play both sides to earn votes from both, saying the wrong thing might get you shunned from that community and therefore hurt you economically until all you have left is a community with one mindset and that is more harmful than VTS or witness centralisation.

Witnesses are the operators of the chain and do not have anything to do with freedom of speech unless they choose to run blacklists like on Steem, they are like mining machines that choose what code to run, and as such govern what code updates can be pushed through. Some run projects to benefit Blurt and that gets them more favour from the community.

As I said before I do not want to fight, I just keep being tagged in mentions and links to my posts and feel compelled to reply.

Thank you so much for leaving your testimony on your experience with and views of the pub.

I couldn't imagine even attempting to host something such as the pub. I so often got lost as a spectator trying to keep up with the many connections and offshoots as so many connected in there.

I appreciate the members efforts to onboard and support new users on Blurt. I appreciate those who helped me personally. You were like my big brothers and sisters.

This statement really sums up what the base experience for those going into the pub would find. Such generosity in an educational, financial and social sense was/is unlike anything I've ever witnessed in social blockchain. Everyone from the smallest wallet to large was welcome and treated equally and with love and warmth.

And yes, the feelings and connections that arose is one that is like family. Proving that in this dynamic there is more to it than the financial as some lean towards believing.

It is the financial that puts the eyeballs on the post. Over time it becomes like the song:

Where everybody knows your name
And they're always glad you came
You want to be where you can see
Our troubles are all the same
You want to be where everybody knows your name

You don't know what you've got until its gone.

Wow! Thank you!

I am not a user of pub because That time frame is not suitable for my country time zone..Anyway I have seen how many conversations happen there.. how many people active there.. I think Pub had done something valuable to blurt. Even I don't know him much, unfortunately double-u already took his desicion to leave blurt..So I wish him Good luck.

Yes, the pub was valuable for Blurt. And while it's possible this talk of another pub can grow into something good, it can never be the same as this pub that was the inspiration/vision of double-u and those who were attracted to it initially and helped shape it into what it became. It's a shame you didn't get to experience it, although one can go back and view the previous pub that took place and get a feel for just how special it was. It was unlike anything I've witnessed on a blockchain.

Thank you!

Dear @practicalthought sorry for the lateness of my response. This month has been one of medical emergencies. My husband has been hospitalized for a week and I haven't had the opportunity or connection to keep up with Blurt.
On several occasions I have expressed my gratitude to Werner for receiving me at the Pub, not only to me but to the entire Venezuelan community. He was even kind enough to ask questions from the questionnaire just for us. The whole German community received us kindly and we all had a great time. The Pub was a fun way to spend Sundays, not only because of the quiz (where I learned things I didn't know), but because they were all real people, telling how their week had gone or the situation in their country.
All this I let them know in a comment in their publication. It all happened very fast and it is unfortunate. I also want to thank Werner and the whole German community for letting me be part of their special little space, the Pub.

@practicalthought I also appreciate that you have taken me into account in this post.

Thank you for reaching out.

I'll confess to having been concerned for your husband. He commented once since all the nonsense and angry narratives began flying around, and I was concerned perhaps he was done with Blurt due to the ludicrous idea of his being involved in some voting circle being thrown out to us.

I do hope that he is getting better, and that as a result you are able to relax as this must have taken quite a toll on yourself through worry and feeling helpless.

Please convey to him that we wish him a speedy recovery and that he has been missed here.

And, thank you for sharing your warm thoughts on the Pub.

You just reminded me of the life at pub here on blurt very exciting and full of fun. Even when I was invited by one of my friends, I was thinking and asking in the first place how will be pub be like and he said to me "come and see". It was until I came and saw the excitement that was there, I became a regular participant but since the pub has been closed. We move
Nothing can even replace the joy and excitement I have experienced here on blurt, and I hope someday it will be back again.

Thank you.

I remember when i used to wait after dinner for the @double-u PUB. I wish it remained as it was, nothing has changed I wish I had some time travel thing.
Really, this type of PUB has never come in Blurt and probably never will.

Really, this type of PUB has never come in Blurt and probably never will.

I agree. It was a reflection of the original intent and energy of its creator double-u, and those who were drawn to him and his ways initially. I've never witnessed anything like it. Now that it's come to an end I would love to see all who appreciated it let the host and others who were there know of their gratitude. There are things money can't buy, and giving thanks is one of them. So often kindness and gestures for another go unacknowledged and I would like to ensure that doesn't happen here with the pub.

Thank you for reading and commenting. If you decide to expand on how it impacted you in a post, that would be great.

Hey! @double-U please don't go ! You became a big part of the community!

To be very honest, When I was quite new in blurt, I was wandering here and there and I got the pub. I read the post but I didn't understand fully what it was. After a week, I saw it and again couldn't know it very well. After two weeks, I read the pub post attentively and finally got succeed to be aware of it but couldn't participate because of timing difference from our country and my examination also. But when the exam came to an end, I participated and found there few amazing and encouraging friends. I was welcomed warmly by them. I remembered @elkezaksek mam @michelangelo3 sir, @dotwin1981 sir were the most remarkable faces for me to welcome. I didn't participate so many times, but I will really miss it so much. Inspired by @double-u sir, I decided to organise a weekly riddles challenge on each Thursday. I would like to recommend you and all who read the comment to visit it and express own opinions. He is the post link.
Thank you sir for choosing me as one of beneficiares!

Once again thank you sir @double-u for the pub activities, the support, the gift from pub you gave me am grateful and wish you long life
Thank you

I love this publication because gratitude is a great gift that God gives us to be happy. When we are grateful, our life is filled with beautiful colors.

I remember in the PUB, I was always lost lol, everything was moving very fast and I always fell behind, I was better in the lottery with Karl because my number 7 is my favorite and I only had to say once that I participated. But everything was very fast, but at the same time exciting.

Once I told Doble-u that I was in the PUB because of his nice people, and that's how it always was. I want to thank the PUB, Doble-u and all those who were part of it, because I was able to meet so many people with noble hearts, in addition to accompanying me in the celebration of the anniversary of Blurt and my inventions of being on the channel voice to sing, there I had the pleasure of listening to double-u sing lol, and we were able to talk a little, we also celebrated birthdays and shared joys and sorrows.

Sincerely, thanks to everyone I met with whom I shared beer, chocolates, sandwiches, chips, photos, and above all affection. I will always remember them, also when I can, I will visit them in their gaming videos lol.

To you my much appreciated practicalthought, also sincere thanks for such an emotional initiative, I send you a big hug and I hope you are well.

Blurt, more than a chain of codes, we are a chain of human beings accompanied by emotions.

In the time tunnel I also consolidated my friendship with a very special being, with whom I have no explanations, but when I talked with my friend it was like being in a time tunnel. Thank you jeenger for each message shared, I hope that one day in your retirement you have a little more time and one day I can meet you, because hope is the last thing that is lost.

All these days have been of concern at home due to some personal problems, so I have been able to read little, but I did not want to miss the opportunity to say thank you, and I do not write Goodbye because the world goes around so many times and is so small that souls They meet again at any time.

Maybe with a PUB on the beach, lol, everything is possible.
A hug and good vibes.😘🥰

Isn't that good for now, you said after starting to pick some conflicts going on here, and once that's done there will be a good solution for the platform.
Everyone must have their own story when they start, various experiences lead them to be even better.
I here also have the appreciation and support from those who are kind and including you which makes me even more excited. 🥰🥰
