Edification Corner Issue 7: Christmas Edition

in blurt •  3 years ago

In this issue, the beneficiary for 99% of the rewards will be @kathe-art. She is the daughter of one of the pillars of Blurt, Blessed-girl. I'm dedicating this post to be like a community Christmas present to her. In my eyes Christmas has always been primarily for the kids, and what better way for us here at Blurt to celebrate it together than to leave something for her under the digital Blurt Christmas Tree.

As always, I won't be voting on the post itself, but if and when she comments I will award that comment a 100% upvote.

If you are unfamiliar with her, here is a brief breakdown.

She is eleven and has shared with the community here her interest in

  • birds
  • butterflies
  • humor
  • playing the violen

and several other interests.

I was cautiously excited when I first saw that she had joined. On the other chains I would have been quite alarmed, due to the heavy toxicity that permeates them.

However, there is a love here at Blurt that starts from the top and works its way into the communities here.

Why This Should Excite Us All.

I know, this part usually comes first. But it's Christmas so I bend my rules a bit for this post.

The way I view Blurt is it has the potential to be an investment vehicle unlike any other we have been exposed to.

The coins we accumulate today could be worth significantly more in the future. So what many perceive to be crumbs one day could be life changing in each of our economic aspects of life.

I would point out the recent rise from .003 value to .04 we have seen. Steem itself was valued once as high as 8.00. Hive somewhere around 2.00 I believe. The point being regardless that valuations change, and I believe there is no question that when it comes to love and respect, Blurt leads the way in offering this in ways the other chains do not.

Then we see the airdrop for Dig that has happened, the upcoming GameState airdrop still to come, and who knows how many other future airdrops we will see.

I wish now to return to the investing to the future idea, focusing on involving children now.

I mentioned above that kathe-art is eleven. I'm not saying she will do this, but it's possible.

Suppose she never touches any earning over the next seven years until she turns eighteen. Just lets her holding grow, compounding its power daily, weekly, monthly and annually.

Add in some airdrops that has already occurred and have yet to occur.

Can you see how her life might be changed drastically seven years from now, with a wealth unimaginable for the average citizen of Venezuela?

Unlike many adults, who like myself are entering or are in the winter of our lives, she is still in the early spring of her own. When I consider the ways this entry of hers into the Blurt community can make her life one so many are denied due to the corruption of officials, it makes my spirit soar in joy at her good fortune.

Not only for herself, but I assume one day she will have a family of her own. Children of her own. Children that will be offered opportunities denied many due to financial limitations of the parents. I'm not assuming any financial image of Blessed-girl or her husband as parents, just saying that she is being offered an opportunity with this financial investment at such an early age to have an accumulation of real wealth, something most will never know as we struggle to survive day to day.

It heartens me that her parents brought her to Blurt, and seek this and what it offers for her.

As with any investment, nothing is certain in life. But Blurt offers such a unique financial opportunity to those of us traditionally shut out of wealth generating structures I believe in the future for us here.

I'm hopeful that as the coming months arrive, that we see more enrollment of family members and friends into Blurt. The investment in the future is one that can be life changing, and setting up those we love to partake in what is manifesting here can possibly be one of the single best gifts we can give to another.

Merry Christmas Kathe, from your Blurt Family

And a Merry Christmas to everyone at Blurt. May you find many moments of treasure in this time of closeness.

Feliz navidad y feliz año nuevo Sir.

Friend what a surprise. Thanks for this beautiful post.

We created an account on steemit and hive for our daughter with the purpose of saving for her future, just what you just mentioned here.

After the toxic environment of those 2 platforms we decided that she should not publish more, but here it is different and that is why we have allowed her to publish again.

She doesn't understand that now because she sometimes says that she wants withdraw money to buy a toy or trinkets and I tell her no. But I know that when she is older she will understand.

After the toxic environment of those 2 platforms we decided that she should not publish more, but here it is different and that is why we have allowed her to publish again.

On the other chains it wasn't uncommon for the most toxic whale there to have a vendetta with some of my followers, and he would downvote their comment and use the vulgarest language in regards to them and their children, sometimes even posting pictures of genitalia in reply to their comments. It was really toxic and no place in decent society and especially around children.

and I tell her no. But I know that when she is older she will understand.

She will be so thankful when she is older. I think more parents should consider doing this to give their children a better future. I applaud you and your husband for having the foresight to plan for her not so distant future in this way, highlighting one of many use cases for Blurt.

I was very happy when kathe-art came to us, she is an enrichment for our chain.

Happy holidays with time for relaxation for you and all who are close to you.

Hello friend Merry Christmas, how did you spend it in your country?

Hey Kathe, this year I unfortunately had to work, so I could not be there on Christmas. That's not so bad, there are enough opportunities to meet all year round. The main thing is that the family sticks together, that's what I was taught by my parents and I'm glad and grateful that it's the same in my family.

And if I'm not mistaken, it's the same with you. A good family is a great gift, every day.

Hello, my dad worked until December 20, so we spent Christmas together here in our apartment. and on the 31st we were alone here too. When there was no virus, we spent it at the grandparents' house together with my uncles.
Now I'm going to make a post about my Christmas.

Happy holidays to you as well.

Yes, she is a surprise addition to Blurt for sure. I think Blurt is unique enough that it is good she is here, unlike the other chains with their toxicity that no child should be exposed to. I will be expanding on my vision I laid the foundation for here in a future post, but I believe that as more come to understand the unique system we have here that it could be an excellent way for one to position their children in an economical gifted way most of us couldn't have been in the past.

Congratulations, your post has been curated by @r2cornell-curate. Also, find us on Discord

Merry Christmas another great post and a lot to think of with blurt and its implications on life.

And a Merry Christmas to you as well. There are many use cases for Blurt, some of which I'll be highlighting in future posts. So many possibilities once one thinks outside of the box with the unique economic system Blurt offers.

It's so nice that you do this. Merry Christmas to you and yours, and to @kathe-art.

Ohhh.. What a Nice gift for her. When she gets eighteen, she may be a wealthiest one in Venezuela. Who knows what blurt gives in the future.

Here I am also adding my full gift for her as the charismas gift.
Merry Christmas @kathe-art !

Hi, gracias.

Such sweetness!!!! Both of You!

Welcome to Blurt. I see you were pulled back by Lucylin, but we won't hold that against you

😉

I hope you find Blurt more to your liking this time around. It has much more to offer than the others in regards to dignity and respect. There are many communities here, most that don't speak English. When I came almost a year ago many were very kind to me and would honor me by translating both to read and to comment. I've found the following tool to be invaluable as I began immersing myself into their communities.

https://www.deepl.com/translator

I saw elsewhere that you were interested in a phone app. I try to shy away from phone apps, but I do know there has been some development in that area. You will wish to touch base with @eastmael and @etainclub. I believe they have been working on apps for Blurt, but I can't say what progress they have made nor the safety of such apps.

Thanks for the mention. The mobile app I’m working on is more geared towards Blurt’s mobile wallet with a browser. @etainclub’s mobile app is geared towards the fully functional posting, voting, curation, etc. functions.

Thank you for clarifying. I tend to shy away from apps as I don't trust phones nor apps in general so didn't remember the particulars..
