Cross Chain Enmity Is A Waste Of Time AKA Learning To Let Go

in blurt •  3 years ago  (edited)

As time passes more who were belittled and slighted, often for no good reason are making their way here from Hive and Steem. Folks who are by default in an anger phase over perceived wrongs, both real and imagined.

The desire to strike back from a safe place now within ones grasp, the need to exhale all of the pent up animosities and seeming impotence rushing out. Sadly ringing many bells that don't need rung. I say this more to point out the extreme lengths some will go to in their bid to be a hand of vengeance. The compulsion to nudge karma and lend it a helping hand at times reaching a fanatical frenzy. Often to the point that like the monkey who wont release the food to pull their hand out of the jar, one unwittingly stunts their growth in the new place as their focus is on pulling the fruit out of the Hive jar.

Where this is often counterproductive and may actually cause more harm than good rests on several truths that are often overlooked by the person who has been dehumanized and seeks their pound of flesh as payment.

The person(s) you have had a bad experience quite often has many positive interactions with solid good folks. They simply don't know or see this side of the person(s) you are extracting your verbal pound of flesh against. While obviously there is no shame in discussing wrongs done to one, care must be taken to acknowledge a few truths and not let ones zeal create a blind spot on this fact.

Truths such as often (right or wrong) the vendetta the powerful holder(s) who acted against you was personal. Many others have experiences with these same people that are of a beneficial nature. Knowing this, if and when an opportunity presents itself to paint your picture for others on the dynamics, you would be better served focusing on that personal aspect instead of a larger picture that may be quite a reach in its claims and indictments.

Once one expands the sharing into a larger area than the personal experience into some outrageous claims it serves more often than not to be the walkway many levelheaded folks walk away with a dismissive view.

By keeping it on a more personalized experience (such and such negated the stake claims of all who appreciated my work) and often (taunted me and any who stood up for me as they began to then target those who appreciated me).

This is much more palatable to reasonable people. There are zero outrageous claims being made, and it is a precise sharing of the facts. Which will ensure a larger audience is receptive. And, at the same time it highlights a fundamental difference between Blurt and Hive/Steem.

Which is the respect of freedom of speech as well as property rights (in the case of stakeholders decision to allocate their pull to that speech).

Of possible greater importance is that there seems to be a misconception in my opinion on who or what a social blockchain actually is.

A flaw (as I see it) that many make is in embracing this idea that those with the largest stake are the chain. I understand why this idea has life for sure, especially when at the other sites it is given the ability to control in both censuring and censoring. Given the ability to erase stake claims on all with less stake.

But in agreeing that is the power structure it negates the importance of all one would commune with.

I interacted very little in my years at those other chains with the whales and initial miners. They were never in my view what those chains held in value for me. I was drawn to and continued using those sites for the many who I collected in my follow list, that I was able to build real connections with.

Those folks are real, they both enriched my life as well as at times benefited from my ability to reward them with an upvote claim to say to them

Thank you. I appreciate you and this small gesture I am able to make for you brings a quality to my life as much as I hope it does for yours.

The Other Chains Bless Many Every Single Day

I see many who would curse the other chains, wishing their demise so the person(s) who trolled them will see their day of reckoning. Many who hold this view as I mentioned, seeing a handful of corrupt actors as being the entire spirit of those chains.

And in so doing, the vast majority of folks who are blessed in their interactions are overlooked. And not just the smaller accounts. There are some decent people of large stake at these chains, people who are building many great structures that further enrich all, even the smaller accounts.

I've mentioned in some of the many conversations on this the fact when I Ieft I did so quietly. Didn't talk of leaving, or the whale that just made the whole thing unpalatable to me anymore. I just quietly powered down and left.

I did this because of a couple of reasons.

The first which I need to acknowledge is that I was never the recipient of a lot of downvotes. Mine was always from the same one, but usually only to counter others on his list of targets to ruin their accounts. And while he did eventually threaten me to stop associating with them or I would be on the list, I told him it would be an honor to be on the list and for whatever reason he didn't put me on that list.

The more important reason I didn't was because to me Hive wasn't just a handful of powerful accounts who seem to enjoy harming those of lesser means while gaslighting them.

Hive was hundreds of accounts I grew to treasure, who daily were adding quality to others. Both in the sharing of ideas and the shared wealth this unique system offers even those of us with little means to give.

Hive was thousand so of more accounts of real people each with their own dreams similar to most of us.

Dreams of escaping a life of scarcity. Dreams of finding others who can appreciate you for who you are, who you appreciate so much its like someone throwing you a life raft and pulling you to folks who aren't just a bunch of false energy ghosts.

And others who aren't in scarcity and wish to build structures atop the main structure that makes others lives richer, such as theycallmedan or aggroed.

In my vision of a perfect world, all of those people will thrive as we also thrive here at Blurt.

The Stark Contrast In Structure Is Beneficial For Blurt

Coming full circle now, I wish to point out a couple of more facts.

Blurt was started on a shoestring and with many impediments. One of which was the constant belittlement and slander a few with power at Hive created. And like it or not, one facet of any cult-ure is the quickness with which those of us within that cult-ure readily embrace so called truisms from the more powerful foundations.

Yet despite the handicap of low initial funding and bad word of mouth initially, I've watched Blurt grow in leaps in my 16 months here.

I attribute this to the unique design of respect embedded into the very core of Blurt. And the actions of a small percentage of Hive users who hold a significant amount of power and no way to counter it for most.

For those of you who think Hive will implode, I don't see that. They have to much liquidity, to much volume and to many real Dapps built atop them for this to be probable.

And for the sake of the majority there who are decent good people I celebrate this success. The cost wasn't worth my continuing to contribute, but that was my personal choice.

Despite this admission of success I see for them, I also acknowledge strongly there are some of power who do abuse that systems structure to denigrate and rob others of claims. And for those who are either the targets or care about the targets and decide they want a better way, Blurt is here waiting patiently with the door open.

There is in my opinion no need for there to be some war between the chains. There are cooperation's that exist between the foundation and some at Hive, such as with Aggroed and his Hive Engine.

The upcoming airdrop of megadrives brainchild, Gamestate is supported by Aggroed as well if I understand correctly as well.

There are good people that outnumber the jerks on the mother/sister chain. That seek to act in ways that are beneficial to everyone.

It's an injustice to allow the actions of a few powerful folks to taint the actions of the many more who are decent.

I believe that if we don't create wars built upon extreme positions (especially anger) and keep our truths personal and as minimally to the facts as possible we will see a continued flood of newcomers who base their entire decision on facts.

Those dicks who love damaging others will ensure of this. They need little help demonstrating who they are. They were doing it well before most who were targeted were, and will continue to be as there is little means for any who wish to stop them there to do so. By their actions alone they will act as advertisement for Blurt, the chain where the code insists on respect of person and property.

So in summation, I would ask all who come who are seeking justice against those who may have wronged them to be patient and allow those folks to take the rope themselves. Karma needs no help from you. These folks have grown addicted to running with that rope as fast as they can and like any dopamine addict always need just a little more than the last time.

Just let go and stop walking backwards. Let go of the animosity and anger. You are home now at Blurt, and the sooner your focus is on building here instead of looking back, the stronger Blurt will become because of your immersing yourself with us.

Here is a good story I heard years ago.

A senior monk and a junior monk were traveling together. At one point, they came to a river with a strong current. As the monks were preparing to cross the river, they saw a very young and beautiful woman also attempting to cross. The young woman asked if they could help her cross to the other side.

The two monks glanced at one another because they had taken vows not to touch a woman.

Then, without a word, the older monk picked up the woman, carried her across the river, placed her gently on the other side, and carried on his
journey.

The younger monk couldn’t believe what had just happened. After rejoining his companion, he was speechless, and an hour passed without a word between them.

Two more hours passed, then three, finally the younger monk could contain himself any longer, and blurted out “As monks, we are not permitted a woman, how could you then carry that woman on your shoulders?”

The older monk looked at him and replied, “Brother, I set her down on the other side of the river, why are you still carrying her?”

Excellent read, if you are speaking to my tactics which I think you are, please understand that what I've been doing was not from anger and not from a place of revenge (mostly). It was a very well organized marketing campaign that I thought out, designed, wrote, and executed exactly as I planned back around early February. Believe it or not...

Yes it is based in truth even the outlandish stuff. It was all done to raise major awareness about Blurt while highlighting the problems with hive. It was presented by me a known likable personality with a 77 rep account that remained polite while taking a public beating there for two full months gaining sympathy and concern on the issue before I even addressed it.

I've mentioned in some of the many conversations on this the fact when I Ieft I did so quietly. Didn't talk of leaving, or the whale that just made the whole thing unpalatable to me anymore. I just quietly powered down and left.

Yep, I did the total opposite, loud and proud! So loud "they" called me an attention whore! Which is exactly what I wanted. When I had maximum eyes on me, that is when I shoved this right in everyone's face over and over and over and over for everyone to know it exists!

Do I owe the community here an apology for that? Maybe, but I don't think so.

Great post as usual. You are an amazing communicator, and for anyone concerned about my "hive" campaign. You can be rest assured that it is over, and that I will be bringing further contributions to this community that certainly everyone here will feel good about.

I'm going to tag some people here, that I want to see this, as I feel they may have a concern with what I have done and what I may do next.

Partially yes, but I've read some others as well that weren't quite as humorous but had some anger.

I do feel as I explained a moment ago in this comment that there were some stretches made on the whole satanic thing.

I can't speak for the community, but I don't feel you (or others who haven't been shy in their anti Hive presentation) owe me an apology. I just don't see it as being good, especially when I see the trolling bringing a couple from over there to start trolling over here.

I do see and acknowledge that your presentations, while of a sensationalist nature did in fact bring others here and probably more. I just feel that overall there are many good folks over there who are not responsible for nor should be punished for the actions of some who misuse their power.

I think everyone understands that some abuse their power there, and as they continue they will hang themselves with their own rope and need little help from the blog carcass of the accounts such as ours who left. They need no help in exposing the fatal flaw of the chain rules allowing disrespect of speech and property.

It's in many ways an albatross that will hang around the necks of the many good people there who have no way to mitigate what a select few are doing. And if and when they grow tired of it, Blurt is waiting to offer a different way.

The more we focus on Blurt and shake the dust of those who abuse from our focus the quicker we enrich Blurt without creating an enmity that is unnecessary between ourselves and those who have not wronged us, which is the majority of users at Hive.

I want to thank you for your acceptance of my feedback. It humbles me in my gratitude that we can hold a conversation like this where we discuss ideas without it being personal. I feel if we can do the same with comparing blockchains it better serves us all as it display respect. A commodity that is unfortunately lacking in a growing area of the world.

When I read your post outlining all the satanism, it summed up exactly what I was thinking too - a lot of people thought your claims were outrageous, but I think they are bang on - there are satanic images and references all over the HIVEMIND...

image.png

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck......then I'd bet my last dollar it's a duck.

That is some photo by the way! Looks fitting.....hahaha

How come azircon and curangel are nuking you over on hive???

They are protecting their reward pool from non approved accounts

😂😂😂 That is Hives death sentence.... ☠️

I don't think that necessarily means anything sinister. There are many such as the meesterboom reference from that article that seem innocent enough. I'll use this account here I'm about to share as another example.

https://blurt.blog/@sift666

Some might suspect that this account belongs to some satanic hive cabal member and is just another of many references that were on Hive. But for those in the know, it really belongs to someone who sees tranny people.

😂

When i came up with that name in 2016 i was researching the beatles and the tavistock institute... so satanism basically!

Ok, but my point was that you aren't a satanist (I don't think so anyway, if you are please don't get triggered that I assumed your deity preferences, hahaahah). In the case of Meesterboom the picture that was used that said this is satanic was taken from a work of fiction he did where the dimwitted mean spirited yokel says that about his friends boss. Taking just the picture he made to accompany the story he wrote wasn't presenting an accurate picture, anymore than someone pointing at your user name to assume you are a die hard satanist (and possibly part of the cabal that was in larger reference here).

Mr Boom has been toying with satanist references on steemit and hive since 2017, maybe 2016, and when hit up directly about them he never denies it, just mocks the person asking, all the while raking in vast payouts from the insiders. Suspicious much?

Great story!!!
Yes I am also trying to leave without burning bridges, without tossing out the baby with the bathwater, without rancor. No good ever comes from that.

There are as many realities as there are beings. No one is true for all.

Exactly. As you mention, there has been much training to shape us into the throw the baby out mode. Starting from a position of not seeing past our own experiences not only push others away, it creates many blind spots that greatly limit so much potential.

Good point, and I do mostly agree, but I must admit, like an itch I want to scratch, sometimes I like to go on about those clowns!

That Eckhart Tolle book is great.

That book changed my life when I was a total work-a-holic in my early twenties. In fact it turned me into a chilled out beach bum world traveler....kinda/sorta, and I'm way happier and healthier because of it.

and I'm way happier and healthier because of it.

It can be no other way when one owns their time and choices.

I had already come across most of it by the time I read it, I always recommend that book to guys actually as I feel it's one that is more digestible by guys who are generally more logic based and approach spirituality in a similar way. I think as women we come from a more feelings perspective, for me books like conversations with god and the Celestine prophecy were easier to take in.

Gotta love Eckhart Tolle #👍

everyone who disagrees with you is either, disingenuous, intellectually and or morally blind, purely and irrevocably dense, or pure evilz

lol, it's a shame so many take such an extreme position on it. I've shed much ignorance through others disagreement. At worst if one is in a position where one can't agree then simply disengage once that realization is made. There is no reason to go in circles once one sees there will be no common ground, just becomes tiring at a certain point.

This is the post I would have loved to have the words to write myself

Hive was hundreds of accounts I grew to treasure, who daily were adding quality to others. Both in the sharing of ideas and the shared wealth this unique system offers even those of us with little means to give.

Kinda made me teary. I love these corners of Hive so much. I'm reluctant to take sides or choose one chain over another, and I see flaws and benefits in both. I have been wildly angry about some things on Hive, and wildly in love with it - these two things aren't mutually exclusive. I hope like hell the ridiculous assholery discontinues there, but social blockchains imitate life, no?

Choosing, as always, to focus on the good. Like this post ❤️💚

Yeah, there were so many folks there (who're still there) that had such a great impact on my own and others both cherished and unknown to myself. I'm happy for them that they are able to derive value from it, my disenchantment was just that, mine.

I do think Blurt will be the way forward, but as I've been doing since January of last year, I wait patiently for those from my circles to want that for themselves and come. It's been a slow wait, but I see more coming as time goes on.

:)
