The best free blogging platform

in blurt •  12 days ago

Hands down the best free blogging platform is Blurt, where you are reading this game changing article.

Let me explain why.

There are several free platforms one can blog on, such as WordPress, Medium, Substack etc.

Blurt however is better than those other platforms by a long shot.

The first reason is the DA (domain authority.)

https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority

According to Ahrefs, the domain rating of Blurt is 42.

This will give you an immediate edge over many of your competitors, especially after the HCU update that decimated the majority of small bloggers' sites.

https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-e&q=hcu+update+devastates+small+blogs

To demonstrate what I mean, I'm sharing an article I wrote over three years ago where I compared Blurt to our mother and sister chains. It still does very well in Google search.

https://blurt.blog/blurt/@practicalthought/is-blurt-is-better-than-hive-and-steem-2021-comparison-review

It also will inform you why Blurt is better for you than they are so please read it as well.

You can see in the below screenshot that using the search string Blurt Hive comparison review, my article ranks third.

For the string Blurt Steem comparison, the article ranks second.

When I first wrote that years ago, it actually held first place in search for almost a dozen search strings.

Even before the Google HCU update, there is no way I could have ranked that competitively on Google search from my own WordPress blog.

Google now gives authority to UGC (user generated content) sites and those with lots of backlinks to the site.

Blurt offers instant monetization.

One of the first impediments new (or struggling) bloggers encounter is the virtually impossible task of monetizing the blog.

No one knows who you are, Google ignores you.

There is a built in audience here at Blurt where you can be rewarded from the community in the in house currency, Blurt.

You will obviously need to make yourself known by commenting and voting on others' posts of like mind.

But this ability to have virtually instant monetization is a gamechanger.

There is a 7 day window for this monetization, and you get your payment at the end of 7 days. While it isn't an astronomical amount, it's more than most bloggers make which is nothing.

It can provide a valuable backlink to your WordPress blog if you use both.

There is a tool that was recently created by one of our members, @khrom, that allows you to post on your WordPress site, and it will port the article here if you have an account.

https://blurt.blog/blog/@khrom/5pqf1r-wp-blurt-publisher-plugin-for-wp-to-automatically-publishing-your-wordpress-posts-on-blurt#@khrom/skugi1

By porting your article here creates a valuable backlink from Blurt to your WordPress blog. Giving you a valuable backlink most bloggers are incapable of generating without blackhat means.

Using Blurt allows you to be your own banker.

The way voting and rewards from that works, is you place your Blurt in a vested account called Blurt Power.

Much like the inflation that banks get, you get a slice of the inflation here at Blurt.

Your Blurt Power also determines the value you can give another when you curate.

And to stop the inflation from eroding your Blurt value as happens with government currency, your Blurt Power increases at the rate of inflation, giving you the benefits banks hold.

You will have 4 different long passwords

This is the trickier part. There are 4 passwords, the two I use are

  • my posting password.

This allows you to log in and post and collect your rewards without a hacker getting access to your Blurt wallet.

  • Active password. This password allows you to move your Blurt currency around. This one I use sparingly to minimize hackers getting my holdings.

  • There is a master password that can override and reset all passwords. I have only ever used this one twice to reset my passwords.

I forget what the fourth password is for. I've never used it I don't think.

You won't want to keep these passwords on your computer so hackers can't access them. I recommend a flash drive as writing down on paper and typing in every time is a pain. There is also a keychain for these passwords, but am unsure how that works.

To sign up for a Blurt account, here is a link.

You can see you can pay 3.00 with debit or credit, or use 10 Blurt to buy your account. The 10 Blurt is the much better deal as Blurt is currently valued at around .002 of a cent right now. So that's like two cents.

To buy Blurt, you can do so at Probit where you'll need to sign up for an account. So worth it if you decide to take advantage of the be your own banker aspect I mentioned.

Probit accepts debit cards and has been around for quite some time so you can trust them. You would buy your Bitcoin and then trade it for Blurt.

https://www.probit.com/app/exchange/BLURT-BTC

You'll need to use Bitcoin to do so, but so worth it.

Here is an article from one of our esteemed Blurt witnesses on how to transfer Blurt to and from Probit to or from your Blurt wallet.

https://blurt.blog/witness-discussion/@zahidsun/blurt-deposit-and-withdrawal-process-on-probit-exchange

So we can see, that Blurt can be that super boost for your blogging venture. Giving you the advantage that so many new bloggers are incapable of implementing.

Best of luck in your blogging journey, and I hope you decide to implement Blurt in your blogging arsenal.

It just makes sense to add instant monetization, quality backlinks, instant audience, and being your own banker.

Great article.

Shared with 600 Million people on Twitter #blurt #web3 #blockchain #blog

Thank you, although I doubt you have 600 million followers. :)

Of course….. There are 600 Million people on X . I have around 2,200 followers, All it takes is one person to share to their network and it goes viral. I had one YouTube Short get 900,000 views. If it doesn’t get shared in a larger network it is only viewed by people here on Blurt…. or eventually through Google Search.
