Being a big Friends fan, I can't help but think of the episode ' The one where nobody sleeps ' everytime I have a sleepless night.
I went out tonight, celebrating a friend's birthday, and since we all sober these days, we were having some Ceremonial Cacao, which means I am not going to sleep tonight, as I drunk it at about 9pm, and being such a 'light weight' when it comes to stimulants, I will be wide awake for at least another couple of hours.
So what does one do to entertain themselves?
Starts reading all the gossip and drama going on here on Blurt. (Obviously)
First conclusion; there is no safe place on Earth, where there is no drama, no blaming, no victimhood, etc.
No matter how friendly this community is, when you look below the surface, you realize that it's not all cookies and cream.
People are offended, triggered, projecting, and in my personal opinion many are siriusly lacking a sense of humour (obviously if you are not any of these don't take it personally).
I try to stay far away, and not get involved, but I also have a bit of a thing for drama (im a Pisces, we love drama, plus I live in England, drama is essential).
So obviously I start reading all the current happenings. . .
In the debates against "the 90's rapstar" I really have no rights to say anything, as I have never had any interactions with him.
I was not on the platforms where I could have been downvoted.
But I trully feel sorry for those who have been personally attacked and downvoted by them.
On other notes.
Self upvoting, harrasment and "witch hunting". . .
Honestly, if you don't like what someone says, just mute them. Simple.
Or another option; you can have an open and honest conversation with them.
If it doesn't work? MUTE THEM.
Yes, some may have a sense of humor, that may seem harsh, but if you can't have a good laugh at yourself, then I would ask some questions. . .
For me self voting was never something I have thought of doing, but I also don't care if one does. . . (I guess it's like self pleasure practice for them?)
The naughty list? Hm. . .not sure I get how that works. Is that like "Blurt Jail" or what?
So much to learn here. . .
My bottom line is:
There is a lot of drama.
But there also is a community, and people seems to stand up when they see injustice.
I see people speak up and defend.
And that is a very good point in my eyes.
Other than that;
I'll look forward to the conversation Saturday with the witnesses, who will answer questions about voting for them. ( I wonder if they have power over injustice. )
Also looking forward to the Quiz, after reading all the drama, I should be well prepared. . .
Sweet dreams.
100% upvoted as a SALUTE...
We need telethons over Discos 🙏🤬🥓👍
LIVE and One ☝️ Take ✍️💱🤳
I enjoy reading the debates. At least people here aren't being censored like on traditional social media.
Oh i really enjoy the drama 😅
And in some cases i do end up getting involved, but not in the ones that link back to steemit and hive drama cause obviously i wasnt there. So it would be weird. But Blurt drama? Totally 🙈
I upvote at the end of the payout period to help boost back returns to my voters. Sometimes.
I look at everyone who voted and try to visit their pages and window shop a bit.
Drama is popcorn night.
