The primary aim of this post is not to attack anyone or set of people but to teach us what bad influence and good influence are and how they affect humans generally.
Bad influence can be a noun as well as a verb. It is someone or an act that lures and encourages someone or a nation to be doing something wrong or to embrace bad habbit. Bad influence can be inform of what one sees, hears, or take in. It can be inform of addictions like excessive intake of Alchol, smoking in strong Narcotics in form of marijuana, or other addictives that adversely affect the body. It can be in form of promiscuity or in form of Corruption as a nation.
Good influence is just the opposite of Bad influence. Positive influence can be people in your life that helps and support you to be a better person, they aspire you and give you courage to strive for your goals. They just want you to be the best among your equals.
Unfortunately, our environment today, Nigeria as a case study is filled with activities that will encourage one to be be at the bad side of endeavours.
There are many ways one can be exposed to Bad influences. Some of them include:
Lack of Parental or family upbringing. When you don't raise your child in a good way he or she will eventually go the wrong way if he/she wish to. He or she can decide that in an adult age but bringing them up in a good way from the tender age has a lot to do in their lives.
Availability of explicit contents or pornography to everyone. The media today is filled with explicit contents that will end up leading the youths astray .This contents should be well labeled so as to let them know what they are about viewing so as not to bump into it suddenly.
Corrupt environment. Many youths in Nigeria and the world at large are influenced by bad governments and the corrupt systems happening in the society. A Nigerian Youth for instance may want to do his or her best but end up doing the worst because of the bad influence from the government leaders.
Emulating bad culture. Most people have disrespected their cultures just to embrace other people's culture. Youth of nowadays don't have respect in ways of greeting their elders or parents because of the influence from watching the way of greetings from other cultures or nations.
Another Bad influence is seen from the friendships you have and have not gotten the courage to move apart from. If you are someone with good aspirations and you eventually start making friends with negative aspirations, you will eventually loose focus of your good aspirations.
In all I urge all Blurtans here and every one out there to despise Bad influences and if you are already in one, refrain from it today.
