What Is Cosmos (ATOM)?
In a nutshell, Cosmos bills itself as a project that solves some of the “hardest problems” facing the blockchain industry. It aims to offer an antidote to “slow, expensive, unscalable and environmentally harmful” proof-of-work protocols, like those used by Bitcoin, by offering an ecosystem of connected blockchains.
The project’s other goals include making blockchain technology less complex and difficult for developers thanks to a modular framework that demystifies decentralized apps. Last but not least, an Interblockchain Communication protocol makes it easier for blockchain networks to communicate with each other — preventing fragmentation in the industry.
Cosmos’ origins can be dated back to 2014, when Tendermint, a core contributor to the network, was founded. In 2016, a white paper for Cosmos was published — and a token sale was held the following year. ATOM tokens are earned through a hybrid proof-of-stake algorithm, and they help to keep the Cosmos Hub, the project’s flagship blockchain, secure.
I started picking up cosmo with my mileage checks a while back. All of a sudden it was worth 3x what I'd paid. It's gone down some from there, but I'm still ahead of the game.
Coinbase was giving 6% interest on it at the time. I think it's 5% now.
It dropped down a chunk when the timed lockin for genesis tokens expired, so some took profits, so nothing bad happened, just the expected profit-taking by some.

What is airdrop for? When will be airdrop? How much will be airdrop? I dont know anything. Can you explain what you know :)?
I only know what I have read on Jacob and Megadrive posts … so I’m not sure, but I believe it’s based on your Blurt power. Jacob is doing some development with Cosmos Blockchain and wants to create a Blurt-Cosmos project called Lotus (not sure if it will be a blogging g platform to run alongside Blurt ?) …. and will attempt an airdrop, at some time. I’m trying to get to 1 million Blurt Power before it happens. Not sure when the snapshot is so I’m just buying as much Blurt as I can on Hive-Engine and Ionomy.
They suggested we set up a Cosmos wallet and send .001 Blurt to register for any coming airdrop, so I set up Cosmostation on my iPad and bought a bunch of Cosmos to try it out…. and now my Cosmos is up 50% from Where I bought….so I am already Very happy with this Experiment. I also bought a ton of Cosmos on Binance and staked it at 34% … so … so far so good.

Who knows … in the mean time I’m glad I bought a bunch of Cosmos and Blurt. Staked and earning on both.
